Root Make Evo an mp3 player

Is it possible to turn the cellular radios off to make the Evo a Bluetooth mp3 player?

I am upgrading to the Galaxy Note 2 when it is available, and would like to use the Evo as an mp3 player, but it would constantly search for a cellular signal and waste battery. I know I can turn data off, but want to go all the way.
