Help Make home button act like lock button

[RDubbs]

My lock button isn't working at all anymore. I downloaded an app to lock the screen when i press the icon, but is there any way to make the home button lock the screen?

try looking into your home launcher settings and see if it has a home button shortcut..pretty much all non stock home launchers has that option

Yup get Nova Launcher. In Nova settings, gestures and button set it to use home button to launch an app that turns screen off
Get these apps https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher

Then me or someone else will talk you through setting it up.
Does the power button not work at all?

If you don't want to use Nova Launcher which replaces your desktop, just put the first app on your homescreen and tap it to lock the screen
