Root Make your own theme with a few clicks the best site for your x

i skimmed through it yesterday, its nice, great concept and hopefully he will add more to it, not just picking certain things and that being your theme, other than that, it is a great thing for noobs to do, im thinkin steven may agree with me on that one ^_^
 
Didn't look at out a lot, just read you guys review. Great idea when it gets up to speed.
At leaste it sounds pretty cool.

Working on it.
I can't currently add Blur Based ROMs because of an issue that I'm working on.
Once I get that worked out.. expect to see stock 2.3.340 (Deodexed), apeX, and Blurry as available options... any other requests?

IF this goes well.. hope to have them up in the next week or two, TOTALLY depends on how much time I get to work on it, and if any snags come up with the automation of a few things...

I love the concept. You may see if you could include something like the UOT kitchen. The battery customization is really then only thing I like about it though.
Keep up the great work. I'm going to try this today or tomorrow when I get home.
 
Any chance the pull down notification shade background can be made Black or Black Glass? Not a fan of the stock gray. Thanks.

I'm not a themer.. I only host them... (well, I've done my share of theming, but trust me, you don't want me doing graphic design stuff.. ;)

Do you just want a plain black'ish transparent drop down? (like the plain one, only black?) I could easily do that.. or if you know of an example.. I'd be more than happy to include it.. (Assuming permission from the author of course)... ?

Anyone know about sephtin.com. Can create a custom theme on your comp and flash it to your phone. Its so easy a caveman can do it. I was bored so i signed up on twitter to follow jrummy to see when 1.5 is out and saw this. If its already known sorry but i thought it was cool to take peices of other themes and string them togather to make my first custom liberty theme. Im no themer you can tell by how ugly my theme turned out.

I just tried it out.. flashing back to liberty and will flash the custom theme! Oh boy!

It looks like sephtin is still working to improve it; it's still a little rough around the edges, he'll improve it I'm sure.

Still, I think nothing beats making your own customizations, that way you can truly change any aspect you want (well at least close to any aspect :D).

I think you should look into including fabulous', and BigDX themes, they seem like they wouldn't mind as long as they get credit, I know fab is all about helping the community and making things easy for the less skilled Droid owners

They're near the top of my list of themers to contact when I get that far! :)

The problem is.. all of the really great themes include themed applications, and the site isn't ready for them (YET)...

Currently the bit items on the ToDo list for the site are:
--Getting services.jar changes working, so that I can change the clock color. This would allo me to include themes with white status bars at the top, and ROMs that have white status bars at the top by default.. including Stock 2.3.340 deodexed, and pretty much all Blur based ROMs...
--Getting themed apps to work with the site. THIS is going to be a pretty big undertaking I'm guessing. I say this, because I'm basically going to have to crack open and modify several of the APK's.. because .apks differ greatly between ROMs. Example: The Phone/dialer.apk, settings.apk, (and lots of others... :P). For a themer to put a theme up on my site, I want that theme to work with all of the ROMs that are on the supported list.. To do that.. I need to be able to include the theme changes to the various APK's for different ROMs.

It's a pretty big bite to chew off, but not any harder than a script that piecemeals themes together into framework-res.... :) Just a matter of doing the work.

Give me some time, I've got some fun things I hope to include on the site. :)

(My end goal, is to have a mock image off to the side, that shows the default theme of the ROM chosen, and then as components are selected, the image updates with those choices... So you can see what you're getting before downloading and trying it out... Obviously this is a LONG ways off.. but **shrug** TOTALLY do-able. (WTB a PHP/JS web developer with LOTS of free time on their hands who works for free.. haha! ;)
 
Looks amazing!! Once support for the stock ROM is added I'll DEFINITELY utilize this. Thanks so much for your hard work!
 
I just noticed that there is a thread for that. oops well its cool to mess around with. Im hoping he comes out with more options soon so i can make one with my business logo wallpaper and theme to match it.
