Making the switch to Verizon but have some questions.

So i just switched from US Cellular to sprint the 17th and the signal in my house is fine but my 3g speeds SUCK! My question is how long will it take to get my $100 deposit back from sprint? Is the Droid x going to be that much better then the EVO?

Well, no one can say for sure. BUT, lets assume we can. Moto build quality tends to be better than htc, recently at least. Better processor (maybe) that uses less power while delivering superior performance. So you can expect battery life to be much better. The verizon network should be enough to make you switch tho. Supposedly the 720p recording is better on the X also.

Well as soon as the new verizon store thats being built opens up ill go down and talk to them and test out some phones and 3g speeds then make my move.

Well i was charged 100bucks and put on a 150$ spending limit, whatever the **** that means and they want to charge a extra 5 bucks a month because im on the spending limit..

That puts it 5 bucks over what i would pay a month on verizon plus verizon has a better network and better phones. I only went to sprint over verizon because i thought it would be cheaper.... Guess i was wrong.

I know when I was with Sprint about four years ago, I had to do a deposit of I think 100 bucks. A lot has changed since then though.

Lol i will tell you the same thing they told my brother when he signed us up for sprint

Sprint Rep: Well, we have the spending limit program to help customers without having to pay a high deposit. But by us doing this, it costs us more money as a company hence the charge for the spending limit. But if you enroll in automatic bill pay you can waive the fee.

Alex: But why am I on this ASL program.

Sprint Rep: Because you have less than desirable credit, Sir.

LOL....so that's why they have it.
Although I am shocked you had to pay a deposit AND Your on the limit. Alex has defaulted on student loans as well as owes credit card companies like quite a few thousand and with Sprint gave him up to 3 lines of service with a 450 limit.

Now Verizon wants him to pay 400 dollars and At & T wants him to pay 700 for deposits lol

Yeah it came as a shock to me also. I dont have the best credit in the world but not bad enough to have a limit that low. I emailed Dan@Sprint.com at 3am this morning and by 9am i got a call from his office (I couldnt take it because i was working) and a email saying they tried to call me and wanted to know a time for them to call. I guess telling them im going to switch to Verizon because the plan would be cheaper and the EVO waiting game they are making everyone play put me over the edge made them act fast about keeping me.

Depending on what they say ill either stay with Sprint or go with Verizon. Ill report back when i talk to them.

Not to sound 1 sided but if your going to compare coverage maps, Verizon is going to be the winer hands down in most cases. Verizon also has a VERY strong word of mouth reputation hence "The Network"
