Malaysia Airlines tragedies

Meh, I say we pack it in and accept that they're dead.

I don't think anyone still doubts that all on board are long-dead, but those of us with an interest in aviation want to know (a) what systems failed to allow MH370 to disappear so completely and (b) how a repeat can be avoided.

I most definitely thought about it when I chose Aeroflot over Malaysia Airlines for my recent trip to the UK, even though Malaysia was significantly cheaper, and did fly to China with that airline last year via Kuala Lumpur. In theory it should be quite difficult to lose a large Airbus aeroplane over land, apart from the English Channel.

Aeroflot used to be notorious for safety at one time, during the Soviet era, but I'm sure they're a modern safe airline these days. These no Tupulevs or Ilyushins in Aeroflot's fleet any more. LOL

we know more about the moon than the ocean. But with all the technology of today you'd expect at least the location of the planes remains. There's 2 strong possibilities of why we haven't found much. Either there's some sort of coverup by governments or the airline company (for whatever reason) OR (thinking outside the box)the plane vanished into thin air via aliens or some sort of time vortex/Stargate. Just look at the many different plane disappearances in the burmuda triangle and other similar locations. Planes and ships never being found again without a trace.

Or option B, a radical one, we just assume we're at a state where technology can do everything.

As covered by this thread, don't think that losing a plane is impossible. Does the tech exist to know where the plane is 24/7? Yes. Is it reasonably feasible to do so? No, unless you want to make air travel significantly more expensive.

Assume? How bout we know. What we know about (and currently use) is old tech compared to what is still "under wraps" by top governments. As for costs, safety and the well being of the passengers should be the first priority of any airline. Costs should be irrelevant to this issue.

Very try statement we know more about the moon but not about the ocean. And this was also said on discovery channel speaking about SHARKS. No one can say nothing about the water we live around but have true facts about the moon or how many light years is Venus from us. Spend some money on the water and leave the moon alone .

It would be a Boeing 777 from Malaysian Airlines. According to a source of Interfax (Russian press agency) there were 280 passengers and 15 crew members on board.

Interfax reports that the Boeing crashed 80 km from Donetsk, during its flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. Interfax relies on aviation sources. It is the plane with flight number MH017 aka KL4103.

News is reporting they've no idea why they flew that route (apparently some war torn area) where most other major airlines refuse to go over that area.....

Airspace above 7.5 km was clear for commercial passenger flights. This plane was flying at 12 km.
Planes are flying around it now though.

As a result of unfortunate timing, Malaysia Airlines had to delete this tweet they had sent out hours before the crash:

They say that the plane was on the correct route but Dont know why no one haven't warned them it was off coarse . but also they say that the Ukraine shot down another plane yesterday a cargo but no one said anything. They are saying they will stop using this route to fly as of now these dummies should have been stopped. It takes lost of millions of life's to stop a flight pattern .

Can I ask why do america want to keep secrets from america . they telling us that Russian officials has told American president that due to the sanction america was told we was going to suffer.
Is this and the other missing 370 has the same problems but keeping us at silent to avoid problems. I am confused.

Ukraine is saying it doesn't have any long-range missile systems in the area and is promising to provide evidence that Russia did this.
