Also another exception :) I'm 20 and got the Droid on Friday when it came out :D

Definitely only saw males getting the Droid that day though

28 Male. I was the first one through the door at the store on Friday, and there was a 18-20 year old girl right tight behind me.

I wonder which way the selection bias would go. I am thinking that, if anything, there are probably more women that would buy the phone than would be active on a forum. But, if I had to bet, I would say that the type of gal who would buy a Droid is EXACTLY the type of gal who would be active on a forum!!

BTW, is "gal" considered offensive to women in any way? Not meant to be.

Female here. Got the phone 7 am on release day. I love it. I felt obligated to look at the Eris, but it didn't take me long to go back to the Droid. The size of the phone doesn't matter that much to me, I guess because I carry it in my purse more than in a pocket. My husband is jealous of me :). Wondering how long it will be until he buys his.

Disclaimer - I'm fairly "techy" - have a software-related job, play MMORPGs, etc. And it's the guys at work who seem to be most impressed by the phone, not the girls.

Chick here as well. *represents*

I like the sleek lines of the phone. But really, the design isn't what drew me to the phone, it was the functionality. I'm a huge fan of technology and this phone was just the latest addition to my arsenal of electronics. :)

I do find it humorous that my male friends are impressed that I purchased a Droid. Like I some how earned cool points and am now much cooler than before. *shrugs*

I'd be interested in seeing the overall statistic of male to female forum users. But I think most people using the Droid would be on forums trying to figure out what they can do with em

I would appreciate it if some of you guys would vote as girls. Don't worry this is confidential and no one will know! ;) jk

NO but really, you guys have a bit more than 80%!!!

48 WOMAN ;) Love the Droid, and is THE tech for my entire family and circle of friends, AND for my entire corporation! So nya :D

*such a tech freak that I stood in line in a blizzard the day the Storm came out. Also kicked that piece of crap to the curb 5 days later...*
Wow!

Hi !, well here in Argentina Pre-orders open on Sunday and I am planning on putting my order right away.
So if future orders count 32 Male :)

By the way It will be called Milestone here (GSM) and it is supposed to come with pinch and zoom enabled

Can't wait to have it in my hands, meanwhile I am playing with the 2.0 SDK and the Emulator.

Male, age 63. Yep, I grew up with a rotary dial phone. Most of you have no idea what I'm talking about :o

Hey, even at 42, I can play "when I was a kid" right along with you! :0)

Rotary, absolutely, but never a crank phone!

14 YO male here, and I love my Droid! Well, I have always been a tech geek, and been typing before I could talk. Unlike most of the people my age, I am not that big into texting but I am an email addict and always have a window on my browser here and on Engadget.
