Help Manually Install Apps

How can I manually install an app?
Pretty simply question, with probably a simple response, but I have not a clue. lol

First, check unknown sources in the menu (menu>settings>applications>unknown sources). I use astro file explorer, if you use use another file explorer app, it may a tad different, but navigate to the file you want to install, tap it and a popup will appear. tap "open app manager" then install.
