Help Market Issues (download and update)

Hey everyone!

Okay so as I'm sure you all know, the new market apk got leaked. I installed it. All was well for a while but yesterday my market started malfunctioning. If I try to download a new app, one of two thing happens:
-It begins downloading and then the download just disappears from my notification bar
-It will download but fail to install because "Package is invalid" or something of that nature

The same things happened when I tried to update my apps. I suspect it has something to do with the apk itself but I don't know where to get the old one back, or if I'm even on the right trail. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
 
clear data for market...unmount and then mount sd card and try again.

if that doesn't work let us know. I believe the old market apk is floating around xda, and posted in links in some of the other threads created about the new market over the past few days
 
I found that if you go to app manager and go to the market app, there is an option to remove the update, which seems odd, but I did it just in case.

Then I unmounted the SD, cleared data from market and force closed it, remounted SD card and went back to market and it still won't download anything. It says "your item will be downloaded" and shows the download in the notification bar for a few seconds then it disappears. Watched the same happen on the app page in the market.
 
you are right...I completley forgot this was one of "those"

there are many app updates that you can simply "uninstall" and it rolls you back to the previous version.

have you rebooted? might as well update prl and profile too ( i still have no idea why this fixes most issues.

I am trying to find the thread about this issue (it may be completely unrelated to your update to the new version)
 
I tried updating PRL and Profile but they hung for several minutes. Not sure if it has anything to do with my root status.
I've also tried rebooting several times, no luck. At this point I'm willing to do a complete reset, unless there is a quicker solution available.

Where people were having this problem in late november, and people are still commenting about it up until a day or two ago.
I've tried the solutions in there re: Gapps but nothing has fixed it
 
Went outside, no PRL update available, profile updated successfully. Market- no luck. Also tried market over wifi, same result

EDIT: It appears to be working now magically. Not sure why, I just tried again and it started downloading and installing things properly! Thanks for all your help! [EDIT EDIT: Nevermind]
 
Bump.
The issue isn't actually solved, it appears that only SOME apps won't download. For example Angry Birds, and Pocket God both act like they're going to download and then the icon just disappears.
