Root Market not downloading apps

Hi,

My Market on my phone has suddenly stopped downloading any apps, giving the download unsuccessful message any time I try.

However, if I install the app from the Android Market website on my laptop, then it pops up and downloads and installs fine on the Market app on my phone.

Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? I'm running Redux 1.2 - tried InsertCoin and Oxygen yesterday but this problem appeared (it was fine before I changed), so I restored my Redux nandroid backup but the problem has remained.

get quick system info lite and tell us the size of cache free
 
ahh forgot its redux with 06mountdl script so it wont

try going to settings and applications and clearing data and cache for the market
 
Redux always shows as "information not available" for cache, but the 06mountdl script should work.

Using estrongs file explorer (or root explorer if you have it) , browse to /cache/download and see if you can see .apk's in there.

Also browse to /data/local/download and see if you can see the same apk's there.

For some reason my cache/downloads stopped being the default location for downloads. It became just /cache/ so I had to amend my script to reflect this

Also my init.d support went out of the window so managing all my scripts using script manager. Itching for a new rom

Tried this and still get the same problem.

Both /cache and /data are showing as empty folders in ES File Explorer...
 
You need the latest Estrongs and need to turn on root options...

open ES
Menu > Settings
Root options
Select root explorer. If it gives you a warning, press yes. If it asks for a rom selection, pick Cyanogen
Select Mount file system
Now should be able to browse.

Did this, when I got to the warning, pressed yes, and Allow when the root access box came up, but then got a failed, this cannot run on your device message.

OK, switched to Oxygen and ES File Explorer let me use the root explorer. There is no /download folder in either /cache or /data/local.

Rastaman, QSI now works for cache and says there is 3.58GB of system cache free.

When I switched to Oxygen, most of my apps reinstalled automatically through the Market app on my phone, but a few gave the same download unsuccessful error, which has persisted for them, and no new apps will download now either, so back to the same problem as was on Redux.

It would only really be relevant to redux for download cache as it has the script. not sure if oxygen has.

Download unsuccessful isnt a cache issue. Too small a cache would actually show the download and it wopuld then just disappear. Could be network related, or maybe even one of those market problems that keep resurfacing.
 
Seems like it was a random phantom problem, as it is all back up and running fine today! Cheers for the help anyway!
