Help Market not working after system update

don't know if this will stick..but i uninstalled 'market'...now it works....worked for a bit then went back to newest version which prevents market...basically..you've got to do this everytime you want to access market....before it reverts back to the newest version of market

This seems to be an issue with the 4.0.2 update that's finally rolling out to all Canadians (the jakjuux build).

I'm still waiting for mine to get the update, but from the sounds of things, you WILL experience this market crash afterwards and the loss of NFC from your settings menu.

What can we do to get Google/Samsung to fix this, as it's my understanding that Samsung distributes the firmware updates to the Canadian/jakjuux version of the image for Galaxy Nexus phones.

You can see the thread here for a number of people reporting both issues:

Here's one thing we can do - Star this issue:

A factory seems to resolve the issue for most people. *Most* obviously isn't good enough, and a factory reset isn't an acceptable situation to put users through anyway.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that didn't get this update early. It has still yet to drop on my device. That might just mean I'm at the back of the bus, but I'm hoping instead that the update has been pulled down until it can be investigated and resolved.

I just went to Apps and deleted the update for "Market". It restored the factory settings for Market and now it works fine.
