Root Market problems with CM6/7

I went to the Market website (via computer) and found that with CM6 installed it shows my device as a Huawei M860 with no carrier information. Even though I'm with Metro it always said I was with Cricket (not a big deal, as it still worked). I didn't really think this would be a big deal but it IS. We are now locked out from downloading certain apps.

One of them is my banking app. And since there are no branch locations everything has to be done via internet, phone, or app. So I sent an email to google support (pain in the butt trying to figure out how) and AMAZINGLY I got a response pretty quickly. I responded within minutes and explained the situation about the custom roms that aren't officially supported and that there are going to be more and more coming out.

I recommended that they change their system from not allowing you to download to giving you a WARNING this may not work on your phone and having to click one more time. The rep (Marcus was the name on the email) responded within minutes thanking me for my quick reply and that he would pass the information along to the rest of the team and get their ideas.

Please let me know if you are affected the same way or not.

*** edit. It isn't all apps. Just certain ones. Ones that you had before but can't get now or FroYo apps that it won't let you download.

Homeswitcher for Froyo. If its working you should see the original version and the froyo version.
Equalizer can also be used to test 2.3.
Mine works fine.

It must be a CM6 thing.
When i go in to the market online it shows two devices, one that says Huawei Ascend and the other that says Huawei M860.

I was not able to download a few themes and was locked out of Root Tools on CM6. Fine on CM7 though. My phone shows up with no carrier info on market as well.

I was able to see, download, and install homeswitcher Froyo(2.2) from the applanet.net app... I'm running CM6.

Root Tools is also shown in applanet.net

the phone is not able to run that game.

When I go into the market on my computer, It states my phone both listed as M860 and Huawei Ascend. I think it's because of the names on the roms. It does show I have no carrier too. I thought that was kind of...interesting.

I think its in the build.prop's of the rom but not sure.
