Maxthon broswer

So I've been searching for the best overall browser that works for me. I've been using opera because until now it was the best functioning one for me. So i typed web browser in the market search and i figured i would browse through the options. I came across Maxthon browser, one i didn't see a few days prior when i searched.

So point being it's an amazing browser that it is fast and light and the on screen options make navigating a breeze.

Something that really bothered me about opera was that every time you tried to press a link the screen would move. So you would have to lightly tap every single link because the screen was so sensitive. luckily this browser isn't like that and it makes navigation much smoother and easier.

Sooooo i figured i would share this. :D

Although as i try and type this it's becoming extremely aggravating. The type box doesn't want to stay put and when I try to move it, it won't stay. This is really aggravating actually. Hmmmmmm.

Yeah looks like I'm going back to opera. This shit is glitchy and laggy as hell. Plus it seems my cpu usage through the roof. Sooooo never mind. Lol.

its cool fuzzy but ill stick with opera mobile so far the best browser out there ;)

Do you have problems pressing links. Like if i don't press the link straight down without moving the slightest bit the screen moves and the link doesn't get pressed. I have to literally barely touch the link in order for the screen to not move. That is my only problem with opera, otherwise i love it.

Ive done MANY MANY tests on this as i am the kind of person that cant just live with acceptable. I have to have the best so I actually do tests probably weekly when i get bored and honestly down here in Florida where I just cranked out 5MB download speed (See "Am I The First" Thread For Proof) Dolphin beats them all but Maxthon is a somewhat close second and Opera is a deep third

u serious I can't use dolphin I think opera is still. better lol ;)

I use 3 browsers and I think they all have their advantages. Dolphin HD, Boat and Opera. I do like all of them. I have Maxthon on my PC, but I bearly use it since Firefox, Opera and Chrome are the main ones that I use. My PC is full of browsers (lmao) from Firefox to Flock to Safari and so on. Yet Firefox is still my favorite and main browser, to bad that it is not so good for android phones.

Anybody try out the "new" Opera Mini Next Browser? Not much as far as UI has changed but seems even faster then the original.

Had it for a while. Didn't notice much speed difference but I did like some things about it. Uninstalled because it didn't have flash. I like Opera Mobile :D

Yea I still use Opera Mobile. I just wish they'd make it a little lighter.

I agree. Opera seems to be the best fit for me although i did like Boat. But there's always a problem when it comes to typing text into a box. It's like some browsers don't know how to handle it and half the time I can't see what Im typing. Ill just stick with Opera.

Opera is great. The only bad thing is the problem when trying to click a link, as mentioned before. Sometimes I have to zoom in and out to click it. Its frustrating in times to times.
If we e-mail them they can probably fix it or try too, who knows.
Yet, Opera still my fav :D

Something to keep in mind:
in the computer arena Maxthon is mimicking Apple by trying to go closed source & proprietary to force users to stay with it, since v3.

It's the only major browser that will not interface with things like roboform, lastpass, xmarks, etc.(surprisingly, even Safari windows plays nice).

Every single browser has websites it has issues with-- so all of us have a mish-mosh of browsers to be able to access everything.
So any browser that can't import & export into the others either directly or at least thru a third party, is almost useless.

I was their biggest fan, even over ff, from way back in the day.
They initially won industry plaudits and awards, even MS was so impressed they actually partnered with them.
But once they started on that ill-advised course they doomed themselves to isolated niche status...

Agreed. I like Opera, but the lowly Metro Browser is so much better at that.
