May Be Switching To Optimus M

Well....

Yeah.... to make a long story short..... LG Optimus M is currently $229 with a instant savings of $29, then a $50 rebate, so the phone will come out to $150. Once I sell my Ascend, the phone will be free since the ascend was free, or pretty close to it.

The camera takes better pics and videos....even though they are both 3.2, the LG's camera is far more better than Huawei's. The screen is a 3.2 touch instead of 3.5, but I am sure .3 inches won't make that big of a difference, and it has 2.2 which isn't a big deal, but the phone is LG :P so It most likely will be better.
 
Ok..

It's official...

Either 2m, or Saturday. I will be ordering my Optimus M, and selling my Ascend
 
lol i haven't used my ascend in the last week or so, since i boogered up the baseline setting and bought a flashed Droid off craigslist. After i got my acsend back up a running and putting them side by side in action a was blown away by how much faster the Droid is (but overclocking to 1100MHz vs 600 on the m860 will do that).

But i still plan on keeping both. The Ascend has a special place in my heart <3 lol

I love my Huawei Ascend but it does seem very slow/laggy at times and that is very annoying. Right now though that is all that cricKet offers (other than the ZIO which seems worse off).

I'd like to use this phone for at least a year (so I feel like I got my money out of it) but if in a year there is something substantially better being offered by cricKet then I may upgrade. The LG Optimus does sound like it's a tad better but at this point I wouldn't consider it an 'upgrade' worth paying for.

An article I read which was dated January 8, 2011 claims that cricKet will be offering 4G LTE later this year and will offer smart phones that can take advantage of it. The Ascend was a 2010 Christmas present. Perhaps Christmas 2011 will bring a new & better cricKet Android with 4G LTE to me :)

For now though I'm very happy with my Ascend.

I did not pay a dime for my ascend, so once I buy the optimus, and sell the ascend....the optimus is only guna cost me like 50 out of pocket

Hey NY, who will be your provider for the LG? I've had several LG phones and am over them. My last one was an LV Envy touch. It didn't last a year on a 2 yr Verizon contract. I broke my contract, paid out the balance and have been with Cricket since October. I love no contract and unlimited everything. I'll keep this phone for a while and if I decide to ditch it for a newer better one, at least I only paid $129 for it. I'm not rich, but it's not a huge amount of $$$$! Good luck with your switch!

I read that the optimus doesn't have 3g. If true, that's a deal breaker for me.

I rather just buy a digital camera.

The Ascend has WAYYYYYY more community support. Which means more Custom roms and themes.

but I think this change will be good for me.. not sure if anyone heard about the Optimus 2x coming to metro.... PHONE IS SICK!!!!

8MP Camera... 1080P video recording... front 1.3MP camera.. 8GB internal memory...FLASH FOR THE CAMERA.....PHONE IS GOING TO BE SICK!!!!! AND it will be 4G :)
