Okay So i use instagram alot and alot of people are useing it on iphone, and they can use emoji on pic and other stuff on ig...but my thing is that, Is there anyway we can get emoji on the keyborad fully and not only on the text mess app. or mod instagram to see them and use them ? on instagram app ...:confused::confused:

I have seen emoji plugin support in the source code, but I haven't looked into it.

I wish I wasn't so dag on burried with other things. I really want to pump out some work for the community, as they have been so nice to us.

I'll run some seraches, but who knows what I'm going to find.
 
From all the info I've gathered (and trust me, I've dug into this a lot) Virgin Mobile doesn't support Emoji to other carriers. At least through SMS. In Handcent, there's an option to send emoji via MMS, but you will be able to send and not receive. When you receive it, you will get the random question marks and spaced out letters. The weird part about that is that I know Sprint phones are able to send it and receive and other carriers are too.

Now with Instagram, I think you are talking about "seeing" emoji in other third party social media apps. Now, that's a problem on Android itself. We don't have the necessary files (I'm sure if Google/CyanogenMod wanted to implement it, they probably could) to see emoji in color. BUT, the MIUI gb ROM we have available does have that option, and it's the only ROM I've ever used that's had it. If you don't mind seeing emoji in black/white, you can follow the instructions on this thread
 
Alright guys well thank you for all the info... n yea its kind of sad that we cant send it even through vm network...anyway i guess i will just use all the iphone 4s n 5 in my house lol (everyone in my house has it..5 of them...but for me i will never!!)... i feel like thats the only big thing that android is missing. :mad:

I've used handcent on my, and my wife's phones and we were abble to send emoji. I know that VM will receive the emoji data.

I'm pretty sure you can send from VM to VM, so I don't necessarily know. But it might just be Handcent -> Handcent.
 
It seems Go SMS Pro can handle emojis without trouble. I can text friends with iPhones on verizon and at&t and both send and receive emojis. I flashed MIUI so I can have full emoji support in other apps like Kik Messenger and twitter but for some reason the emojis are now showing up blank on MIUI (besides in Go SMS Pro). Going to look into it more.

I have Handcent. It can do emoji also.
 
Yes but with handcent I had trouble sending/receiving to iPhones on different networks than VM. With Go SMS Pro it works flawlessly. I don't have to worry about sending as an MMS etc.
