Md5 mistmatch error.

Is the path to the backup correct? Double-check with a file manager that the /clockworkmod/backup folder is on /sdcard and not /sdcard/external_sd, for example. Also check inside each individual backup folder for a nandroid.md5 file; it could be that the whole problem is the lack of this, which the final command will correct by recreating a correct MD5 hash file.

Yes the file path is correct. However none of the backups have this MD5 file . They each have 3 files, none of them include a nandroid.md5 file. Now what? :(

I'm not sure if there's much you can do. It sounds like something went wrong while making the nandroid as there should be 6 files
boot.img
cache.tar
data.tar
nandroid.md5
recovery.img
system.tar

I've had nandroid backups with missing files when I've run out of space in the save destination so that could be a possibility.

It wouldnt restore from a backup which was quite old ,one from which ive restored before ,so im not sure it could be lack of space. Although im running on literally 0 space atm.

If it has restored before it might be because you have a different version of cwm on your phone now to when the backup was made. If that's the case flash a kernel with the cwm that matches the backup and it should work.
