Root Memory missing.......

I think I have done something to my phone. I have flashed nearly every Rom on XDA and last night I got around to flashing Derp3D. I noticed that my memory was almost 100mb off. I cleaned my phone like normal and went back to AlterRom and I am still almost 100mb off on memory. I have used 276mb and have 150mb free which leaves 86mb unaccounted for. Any suggestions on how to reclaim this space?

moved you to the root section.

ok so any of the sense 3.0 are pretty big so it is recommended that you have the card partitioned. and it looks like this rom has a2sd. once the card is partitioned then all you will need to do is get terminal emulator from the play store and then type this command
Code:
a2sd reinstall
and your apps will move to the sd card in its full state. also if you want even more room then you can also move dalvik cache to the card as well by typing in
Code:
a2sd cachesd

instructions on how to do this is in the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html.

Not what I mean exactly. I have 86mb of Internal Memory gone. When I look at all installed apps and do the math it is only alloting 426mb out of 512mb. I can't find the other 86mb anywhere. I wiped my phone many times and reinstalled AlterRom and still only had 426mb of usable space. I unrooted and still 426mb. I rerooted through Revolutionary and still only 426mb. I am in process of unrooting again and guess I will return it to Sprint for another phone because all I can come up to is Derp3D destroyed 86mb of my Internal Space. I really can't think of anything else to explain that much space vanishing. I have always moved evey app possible to the sdcard so I know that doesn't delete space like this.

Don't guess I ever noticed that before. Maybe I have never had more than 426mb not sure but it is cool anyways. Unrooting gives me an excuse to get the other problem I have just dealth with fixed also. When I hold my phone at the bottom edges it starts flashing the keyboard so I now have reason to get it fixed. Will need to remember to look at the replacement to see what it gives for space.

In titanium backup my internal memory reads 448 for total space, and 436 free. I always thought it was supposed to be 512mb total space, but I guess I thought wrong. Either way why is mine different than yours?

Yeah, you'll never see the 512MB allocation...mine also is 448 total with 325 free.
Like Chckycrk said, the other x amount is used by the system.
