memory problem

hi,
recently I discovered that my desire says it has a capacity of only 148 MB.
is it possible? did anyone see this too??
is there anything to with it?

Yes, my new Desire had 148MB phone memory, too.

The most of the 512MB phone memory uses the operating system :(

EDIT: One reason because I bought the Desire HD. Over 1GB free phone memory for apps :)

I have no problem with memory really, using the guide to move to sd is fine with me.

Have all the apps I need and use and still have 90% left.

One day I will root, with your help of course! ;)

I used the guide to move but somethings wont like say the facebook update and the google maps update....all 10MB of it...I have aroudn 51MB left, but quite alot of apps now too...

Good thing we are discussing cellphones! ;) I have the feeling phones aren't that tasty!

On a more serious note, they searched to find the site, I'm sure we can throw him a bone. :)

I used to have the link to my personal profile in my sig, where I carried out the search for this and a couple of other questions and posted the results there....

What would be great though is if we could obtain a permalink / unique address string for searches.
