menu/application screen

[colrey]

Hi fellow androids,

iv seen a video on you tube, so iv seen its possible, but iv got to ask you guys, when you press the menu button, to bring up the applications the nexus one has a 3d effect, like a fruit machine, scrolling effect, can we have this on the desire without rooting? maybe the app spare parts does it? anyone know or have any ideas?

I don't think so, not until there is a way to use the android 2.1 default home menu.

For some reason HTC removed the ability to use this from the final build of the Desire, as it was there with earlier demonstrations. Their is a file launcher2.apk which gives us this, but it is buggy atm, I fully expect someone to make this stable for the Desire soon though.

Edit: If you want to try it anyway let me know and I'll send you it (its just an application you install as normal).
