One of my apps appears to be pushing messages to my android task bar and I want to find it and get rid of it. Without listing every app I have, I figured I'd start by asking if anyone has run into a similar situation?
I get a white star with a black outline and a red dot in the middle, when I pull down the task bar, the message states "You have won an iPad2". When I click on the message, it attempts to open the message in a browser (but it asks me what app I want to use to complete the task, so it never really opens).
I understand the need for "free" apps to advertise...and dealing with banners is acceptable. I end up buying those apps that I really like and use often, and if I see that I'm not using a free app, I usually end up uninstalling it. BUT, any app that does this becomes instantly annoying and must be deleted at once.
I usually read the AUP before installing, but I don't recall any stating that they would push messages to my task bar, even while idle. Is there an easy way to find out which app is doing this?
