i remember the days when you could look forward to 5 pages of new threads here in the nexus section. it has died off big time in the past few months though :(. I look forward to when we get gingerbread for things to pick up again.

While I don't remember 5 new pages, I do remember at least a few new threads each day. Now there isn't much change at all. I do visit the other popular phone threads on this board to keep me interested....Dinc...X...Evo...etc

Yes, when Gingerbread rolls around...this place will be HOTCAKES!!! And people that have been in their slumbers will arise again. Though I don't remember 5 pages of threads a day...it was a good page or two (not updated time).

Though this might sound mean...but I'm not complaining that the N1 is slower now...it means I can branch out to the other forums *hehe*

I'm always a lurker, but it has been good reading through some of the older threads and learning how to continue playing with my phone.

Well the good thing with being a Member over a lurker is that you can post your 0.02 about something ;)

I still look and read. Shows you how crazy fast the bleeding edge of mobile is. Even if it was brief, the first 6 months of Android on N1 were special. Still love my N1.

I remember back when I started coming here there were a lot of new things. Now, not so much. Waiting for FRG33 ROM's to start hitting XDA and then, of course, Gingerbread... :D

Ok you talked me into it. :-) I have an iPhone 4 and an N1. I got my N1 because I am in college and I am pretty sure I want to make and/or program cellphones. I wanted the best android phone and the N1 seemed to be it. I found an AT&T 3G N1 on ebay and lucked out and got it for a great price and it looks brand new. I don't know much about android yet, but i swap sim cards sometimes and use my N1 because I want to see whats more user friendly. I believe android has HUGE potential but they aren't quite there yet. A few things that keep me from using my N1 more are the HORRID battery life, and that there isnt a good music player that gives me lockscreen controls like my iPhone.

So guys, is there anything I can do about my problems? What should I know about the N1? What are some must have widgets and apps? And lastly, How can I make my phone look amazing like in the "post your homescreen" thread.

Hopefully this is what you were looking for Steven58.

There are apps out there that let you control your music outside the lockscreen, I believe btunes is one of them but he doesn't support the app anymore. I use an app called Music Mod, it has much better widgets then the stock (it works along side it) and keeps me pretty happy. But right now the music player is just no where near Apples. I am hoping google will address this in the near future since they are planing on releasing a music service. On the other hand, if you do buy music from the amazon app it is downloaded as an mp3 that you can use anywhere and isn't locked like stuff from itunes.

Also, West Virginia is my favorite place to Mountain Bike. Use to go to Morgantown twice a year to ride.

give it a few months and we will be back to life! gingerbread will resurrect the nexus even if it is for a short time.

I live on the eastern panhandle. Not so much to do out here. And with all my expensive gadgets and stuff I feel out of place. I'll check out btunes.

Thanks for posting, guys!! Feel free to keep it up! (I feel like a darned cheerleader! I assure you, I don't look like one! ;))

Yeah, it's always good to have new people contributing towards such an awesome device!

I'M BACK BABY!!!

Finally told my Hd2 to kiss off and came back to my dear sweet Nexus!

I usually contribute pretty well and I love the community here so you will see some threads out of me.

Time to fire this place back up in time for Gingerbread :)

Hello - new nexus owner checking in

Well, it hasn't arrived yet........ just ordered today.

Been a blackberry user for years and was hanging on to see what the torch and OS6 was like........

Less said about that the better.

Had a scoot around at all the devices available and got down to motorola HTC desire & nexus.

Got the mrs a wildfire and was impressed with 2.1 so looking forward to trying 2.2. Then I read about 3 and thought Google will get it first.

Anyway - sure I'll be bugging you with loads of questions you've all answered before ;)

Cheers
Sean - UK Vodafone.
