Help Messages Sending Multiple Times

So far my HTC Desire HD has sent multiple messages to a contact twice.
Example:
10/12/10 - Some text content
12/12/10 - Some text content

It sends the exact same message, but not on the same date. Today it happened for the 2nd time so I decided to flag it up. Has anyone else had this issue?

Ah, it happened again earlier. I received a text and it sent 2 random texts that I'd sent on previous days, back to that person. There doesn't seem to be a routine to it, it's just random.

I had the exact same issue a couple of weeks ago.

My solution was to delete the entire message thread and then complete reboot

I rang up my Sim provider and they told me to re-enter the service centre number - let's see how long this lasts.

Ive had this also, had a few weird things happen via texts tbh.

The other is the person im texting isnt receiving my text, as soon as they text me again saying something like "hello?" then it triggers the original text to be received. It always shows as sent on my screen so dont know if its my problem or theres.

I remember that being an issue with the first android handset..type shutdown in a text and the phone turned off haha

Know it sounds daft, but what happens after factory reset?..Happened often?

I've had that problem with receiving. If I send a text and don't receive one, then send another text, the previous text is received (finally). Not a big issue for me though really.

Nope.

I think this is an android bug. In the Handcent app there is a setting that disable resending when you reboot your phone... so that could be the problem

ive had the problem getting the same text messages multiple times from the same contact over and over like 30 times a day... my friend said he didnt send anything and checked his history on the internet to recap on his txt msgs and it said only 6 msgs sent (which are the 6 msg that keep coming) ... so clearly it was my phone ( samsung galaxy 5)... solution: deleted thread and contact, reboot, problem fixed for now i guess

I got the exact same issue, only that as I am a heavy and verbose texter, it is real pain for my favorite contact. I am going to report that to HTC...

I experience this issue less frequently, but still experience it. Let me know what HTC say on the matter!
