Help Messaging Ringtones

[joewilly21]

I have been trying to set up my own personal customized ringtones for messaging on my new Droid. Verizon can't figure it out and neither can I. Does anyone have info on this

Welcome to the AF forums and enjoy you visits !!

I am guessing it is much like the G1 ...

Select contacts | LongPress on the contact to be edited | click edit contact | goto to near the bottom of the settings/options and click on ringtone .... then select the tone you want ...

If this does help ... go to the Droid Forums .. and ask there for specific instructions for the Droid ...

Download Handcent SMS from the market for free and you can set ringtones for each contact!! Very easy to use. Plus, you can also customize fonts and colors for your texts which is really fun
