Metro selling new Optimus M's

nothing like beating a dead horse! let the good ole optimus R.I.P.!!! i seriously LOVED this phone but come on it was the best phone on the market like 3 or 4 years ago??? and THEN came to metro... enough is enough!!! lol

Agreed, the "damaged box" thing tells me they probably did find a bunch in a warehouse somewhere and are using this "Purple Tag" sale to unload them.
I can't see why anyone would spend $100 on an M when $149 gets you the Motion which is a vastly superior phone not to mention the 4G.
I've still got my M sitting here, I enjoyed using it for a year and a half but its time has passed.
Just thought this was worth posting for anyone interested.

I'm still rocking my first OM hahaha. They are still pretty useful when rooted and running CM7 though. I'm waiting for MPCS.com to bring back the Purple Tag page that shows how many phones are left in stock. If they ever drop them to like 25-50 bucks I may pick up another one, damn things work better than the Connect!

OMG! I bought mine over a year ago for $89 plus some other special that discounted it even more. I think I paid like $50 or less for the phone alone. I still have it today.... still using 1x :madface:

for a 1.9g processor i can live with the tiny screen!!! hahaha maybe they would have better luck selling them if they really were 1.9.... can get mine to 787 and anything over that it crashes.
