Metro tether txt message... only $10/mo

i never got that text
but when i inquired about the feature they told me it was not for the unlimited plan
i use pda net anyways, but it can hit my cpu pretty hard sometimes using torrent and stuff
 
Yeah my wife and I didn't get the message either. Hey question, using the Hotspot for tethering your Android tablet, say the galaxy or the Nexus, will Metro figure it out or will they think it is the motion?
 
So they want $60 +$10 for tethering? But tethering just works straight out of the box? Sounds like they're slipping to me..
 
Tethering doesn't just work out of the box, not directly anyway.

If they detect network traffic to anything other then an Android, the traffic is blocked without the plan. Tethering another Android works fine, since the traffic from the tethered device looks identical to the traffic from the host.

To tether a PC without the plan, you need to change your browser's user agent to spoof Metro into thinking it's regular traffic, the caveat being mobile versions of pages are presented by default.
 
As i posted above i was told that because i was on the unlimited plan tethering was not available to me
But i have found something out
I wad curioud how they monitor this
Watching logs i thought my phone sends them data they send back data telling my phone what to do
Weird there servers are not in complete control? Dont havr storage and software or data center like google does
When they throttled me due to overusage it was slow
My phone actually went

And i was never notified
So it took me a day to figure out i was throttled
Screw with my unlimited net and dont tell me.
This means war.
I tried stopping data reports and services.anything i can think of
Wait ... There cheap maybe its not the acount thats throttled but the mac or mini sim
Called 228 switched to my other motion. Wooooo were back at full throttle for the rest of the month

Yup it's the 4G SIM Card thats throttled I know cause I switched a motions throttled sim with my nonthrottled S3 SIM & it went back to regular speeds.
 
Yep thats what i found out
I like to stare at android tuner LOGS
It may be logcat not sure
Helps me understand things
Kernal logs,app log,debug log
It seems as my phone is notifying metro of usage inturn my phone recieves commands from them.
I think GOOGLE and METRO tell my phone what to do more than i do

I use to say GOOGLE owns my phone i just paid 100 dollars to use it
 
Your phone is the easiest way for the black helichopters to keep an eye on you.
