Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Aokp battery life%%

Since I didn't want to derail the main thread, but I thought I'd make a separate one. Since flashing the rom I love the phone even more but it feels like I'm hemorraging battery life. Previously on stock I could go into work, and pop on power save mode, and and leave 9 hours later at roughly 80% battery life. Now it's more like 45%. Without resorting to lighting/task tricks, is anyone aware of a feature similar to the stock power save mode?
 
I figured that much, but I know it also disables a lot of processes as well. Just trying to figure out everything it adjusts to make such a dramatic difference in battery life.
 
Standby on stock is amazing. But once you start using it the phone loses one percent every 10 minute regardless of settings and stuff. I would of love the gs3 to death if the battery life on screen time was better. I guess we have to wait for a better power kernel. Would be awesome if the other roms were ported over here from spirnt and stuff. I wish I knew how to do it and because of busy life, not getting any chance to study how to port.

Also I used the app called phone info to change the lte mode to cdma auto parl so lte was disabled that sort of helped with the good standby but overall long as you don't have anything syncing and stuff leaving 4g on pretty much doesn't matter because nothing is utilizing it. Also I have removed all the Samsung account thing as well.
 
Actually, it's quite easy to change the mode from cdma to lte from the settings menu, in mobile networks. Just select cdma/evdo as data network. ;)
No third party app needed.

EDIT: Ooops... only on cm10-based roms, not stock... :(

Oh cmon dulal if I can find the time so can you! I consistently work 10 hour shifts as network administrator and IT coordinator, go to school 3 nights a week(not for a degree, just to learn more), and have a wife and a 2 year old. :p

Damn.. I need to stop giving you guys so much of my life. Lol.

And before my post turns into an argument with anyone I am just joking with him, not talking shit. K thx. :D

Oh, and my battery life is unchanged from stock to aokp. :thumbup:

Same here. Battery life for me is pretty good on AOKP. Haven't noticed any difference from stock.

Lol I know what u mean buddy. When I do get the chance to learn I will definitely try something out. We'll for my previous message phone I tried to do some porting and thanks to playful god. He helped me out but I failed regardless. But hey when I do get the chance I will try thanks. And thanks a lot for all ur help buddy. Also how many hours of screen time do u get at most. Some time I feel like my battery is defected because I barely hit 4 hour with use. But that's the way it is. So thanks and tiede on stock I'm missing the connection mode its only in custom rom. I really liked mms u guys made though would be nice if that was ported for stock rom

Oh that option is missing in the stock rom bro. But it's available in aokp and I love that.
 
remember to turn off all that extra sync stuff that you dont use in settings, and if you have weather widgets dont forget to change it update every 2 hours or so cause you can always refresh the weather at anytime.
