If you are talking about the metro pcs banner in the notification bar u will have to edit the eri.xml in the framework-res.apk

U would have to extract the file from framework res.apk and edit it on a computer. There are a few guides on the web that you can follow

Ah. Being that people typically change it to their name, I wouldn't imagine people acting like they are on another carrier. That's why it made zero sense.
