Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Jelly Bean Update Info?

does anyone have any info on the jelly bean update for our GS3. i have heard it depends on carrier here in the US. if that's the case with metro we might not even get it
 
the phone came out like 2 days ago and you already want an update? :P

the jellybean update will be coming soon enough to some of teh other carriers and come not long after for this device
 
You really think MetroPCS is going to release Jelly Bean for this phone? Hah! Samsung doesn't even have it listed as getting the update.
 
Yes, it depends on your carrier.

If metro was smart they'd get it out quickly...


Seeing that this is the root section, just flash a ROM :D

from the comunity will prolly be the only way it see a update, esp any time soon. If/When ZVW updates the S3 to 4.1.1 or even 4.2, then Metro might, MIGHT follow suite. but with how vzw is about approving shyt, I wouldnt expect nothing for 6mo+ ;)

Reason I say if/when vzw updates is because every nice phone Metro has had was a variant of a vzw device. ;)

Samsung will only push fixes, carriers pay for upgrades. ;)

Now thats not saying one couldnt get a update for one of the other variants from kies and then fix it for the d2mtr.

And someone took a update from kies yesterday and got the USC version firmware. ;)

well guys, remember that metro is with Tmobile now, so maybe they might encourage metro to update along with Tmobile.

i see. okay but it's would be logical to push JB to Metro's Gs3. Metro fought to acquire the gs3 for the costumer. Now, it'll BE also smart to push Gs3 to Jelly bean as it'll be the first smartphone on MetroPCS with latest android version.
