Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] [KERNEL][Linaro][OC/UV]KT747 Kernel 2.1GHz

I haven't done it yet, but if you try googling or ask.com they will have some of the answers. I've done it before on other subjects about cpu terms & stuff like that. Also there's a big section about root terms under lg esteem root section.

I used Google and found some great information on most of the governors and schedulers. I say most because a few were left out. Still good enough information to not be in the dark about what you are changing. Yay. Great job chiwen. Thank you. Nice snappy and smooth. Looking forward to future work. Like I told shabby I will donate once this blasted holiday season is over with. Damn kids and wife and actually wanting stuff.

Might be a stupid question but always had HTC phones and for kernels to work it was a hassle to properly and get them to work if you weren't unlocked... I'm assuming that's not the case with samsung... Is that just an HTC thing??.. Just curious cause I've already flashed lol

Nope, not an issue with our phone:)

I thought I might add: someone applied the voltage settings I used an got a reboot. This is because not everyone's phone is gonna be the same. If you apply my voltage settings, or any voltage settings really, and get a reboot its because those voltage settings are too low for you.

If you use my settings and get a reboot, try using my settings, only add 15v to each frequency. If you get another reboot try it again but add 20v. Eventually you will find the sweet spot for your phone.

Funny thing. I've had this kernel oc'ed to 1700 and governor set to performance on blackbean rom since yesterday. Everythibg is snappier and there has been no decrease to battery life at all. In fact I want to say my battery has actually even last longer but of course it's only been a day, can't say for sure yet.
Also I didn't touch voltages, don't plan to.

Great colonel you got here chiwen you should promote it to general.

I try that before it's very are you using that theme nutty if you are which one did you flash

Sweeeeet, undervolting. If I'm running at 972Mhz, does that mean my phone will always run at 910mV or only when it hits that clock speed? As in, will my phone run at 745mV when my screen of off because it runs at 96Mhz then. How long would I need to run a stress test to see how low I can undervolt for 972Mhz? I love this kernel, thank you!

Since installing the kernel I've noticed things are smoother and I faster but my screen doesn't always appear on wake, sometimes I need to wake a couple times actually. Any idea what causes this?

Edit:just read up on kernel stuffs...doing good now lol

OK just slightly off topic,I am just amazed how much support we are getting for this phone.I went a couple years with the admire and only a few Dev's would even look at it. Cause it was metropcs...
Now we have Shabby & ChiweN and they are fantastic developers. I have installed all the roms Each has pro's n cons. Folks just remember to support our developers even when stuff flops. And if you can please donate it is a lot of work and it is not a paying job.
Ok sorry to go off topic
Thanks guys,
Doug
