THE WORLD IS YOURS
Whats up everyone!! I take no credit for this mod, it was shared with us on the lg motion ATR forum by:Android Forums - View Profile: aciulladev, so i wanna give it to you guys, we have a big enough screen:D. So if you guys want this mod you need to go into your system/build.prop then go down to the bottom of the document and copy/ paste, then reboot your phone and thats it you should have soft-keys enable.ENJOY:D:D

copy/paste. qemu.hw.mainkeys=0

after that just turn off your touch key light by going to:
settings/display/ then touch key light duration and turn them off.

The soft keys on my phone turn off automatically after like three seconds though. And they don't look like the ones in your screenshot?

Being that the navigation keys take up screen space, seems like using the stock buttons on the phone would the most logical option. Unless you want to lose screen area and have 2 sets of buttons.

Either way, the option is available thanks to Pnizzle. ;)

Sometimes I wish I had buttons but I have my navigation keys are so small, i dont lose that much screen area.

If you guys get AOKP then you can edit all this stuff directly from your settings. :D

Ok I understand what it does now. It puts those buttons on the screen. I saw a dude in the regular forum that needs this very thing.

I'm going to changing the png to smaller ones and the colors see if they work.

Man, the phone looks so neat and smooth :)

Might have to edit the xml cause even if the image is smaller the xml might be set to make the image fill up the space. Make sense? But maybe not, worth a shot though. I def. like smaller icons.

I might put this on my S3, bc the physical Home button is annoying. I find myself hitting the Back button to exit out of somewhere just bc I feel lazy and don't want to grasp the phone firmly to press down :/

If anybody want to know how to disable the softkeys, it's in system/usr/keylayout/sec_touchkey.kl

Put a pound sign (#) in front of the back and menu key so that it looks like this

# key 139 MENU
# key158 BACK
Key 102 HOME
Key 217 SEARCH

Save and reboot.

It looks great, just like my old Gnex. But the buttons are reversed, is there any way I can out the back button on the left? Also, how do I enable vibration?

I did this for my note 2,it works great but how do I enable vibration on the keys. I also need to replace the back button with the recent apps button?

theres not much you could do with this mod unless you have knoledge in editing smailis, and system files deep within the system, next best thing you could do as far as editable, rearrangable softh buttons is to use the lmt launcher apk ,mad props for the creators of that mod
