Yes flashing TWRP will install using Odin.

i tried testing it and it failed on odin using pda, but my backup is still uploading.

What do you mean by failed?
Did Odin fail half way through? Did it finish and say fail?
Or did it not open at all? Depending on which, this may help me see what's the dilio...
