Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] [ROM][OFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 11 Nightly Builds for d2mtr

Once your in the weather widget settings go to weather and uncheck the box that says use metric. Then tap the weather on the widget to refresh it.

Different Roms put the settings in different places so for me the easiest way to get to it is to just remove the widget and re-add it

Ah! That did the trick, Thanks a bunch

Anyone experiencing a great delay when answering calls? This is really annoying. Is there a fix for this? Also the Ktweaker crashes and seems to be pretty unstable. Am I overlooking something? I am on the Ktoonzes kernel. Switched to it from Linaro.

I'd try switching kernels and tuner apps. That should help with stability

guys after being on 10.1.3 (JB 4.2.2) for a while I decided to try 10.2, so i wiped everything and loaded the latest nightly (10-29-13). After its done installing and boots for the first time I have LTE, but after I reboot a second time i lose 4g and am stuck in 3g. I tried multiple reboots, I even updated my modem to MF2, still stuck on 3g

So i reflash to stock, factory reset and get 4g back

is anyone having this problem? help!!

restore NV

You might have corrupted download so download again the new one and flash it makes sure you wipe data, cache and in advance option dalvik cache before and after flash the ROM and then reboot that's what I did. Hope it works for you.

@Zolo185: I restored NV, LTE comes back but after a reboot goes away again.

@MikeEthio: I redownloaded and check MD5 for corruption and it checked out fine. I also did as you asked and wiped everything, data, cache, dalvik, and internal storage before flash and after flash wiped dalvik after.

my 4G still disappears after reboot and doesnt come back.. I'm out of ideas.

anyone have other suggestions? thanks.

Well after messing around with this thing, I think I fixed the problem...

I don't know why but when I wiped everything and installed a nightly from scratch I would lose 4g after a reboot.

So I just went ahead and installed cm 10.1.3 stable then I just downloaded via cmupdater the latest 10.2 nightly, installed it over 10.1.3 and bam! The little lte icon hasnt gone away after multiple reboots like before.

And if some of u might think that maybe lte was down in my area... That was not the case as my bros unrooted stock s3 has always had 4g during this time I've been trying this.

Thanks!!

hard to say, cm and aosp doesnt have anything to support volte. so the odds of 2 versions coming out before cdma gets shut off is possible, but youd only get [x] months of service with it. the SGS3 officially went from 4.0 to 4.1 and has 4.3 in the works, i very much doubt 4.4 is though, which means that 4.3 will be the last time binary blobs get updated, so 4.4 will work easily enough but android could change drastically in the next 2 versions to break all those blobs to where they wouldnt work. absolute worst case is if someone keeps one of these as a mp3 player ect when cdma gets shut off we can at least match the us cellular version in updates due to closeness, which should be pretty similar to verizon as well.

short answer is we will have to see, but there is no way of knowing.

my suggestion for anyone looking for an "even trade" upgrade path, i would look into selling teh s3 for 250ish (not sure what they go for these days) and snag a 16gb moto g. it outpaces the sgs3 in benchmarks and scores right below a nexus 4. has 4.3 and will get 4.4, only downside is no lte, but for factory sim unlocked with a quad core for 200 bucks...
