Root [MetroPCS] Issue with Root on phone

Ok, so here is what happened. I had root at one point, installed TWRP, and even was able to flash the CM 11 Beta. After playing with it for a little bit, I decided that I needed the USB tether more than just having fun with the new ROM. I went back and did what I have always done with phones in the past and went to restore my backup of the previous ROM. It boots back up just fine but suddenly root seems to be broken. Some applications say my phone is rooted but won't allow me access. This includes the Voodoo app listed for rooting (As I tried to root again thinking that was the issue). Now I'm at a loss for what to do because from my understanding, you can't enter the recovery using a button combination at start. Any advice?

Also, any app that would put my phone in recovery isn't working as well because it it trying to get root access which it doesn't seem to have.

I just realized that I was using the wrong superuser app instead of supersu. I still have root. False alarm. Sorry about that. Good info to tell people though that superuser app is not going to work with the towelroot app.
