Root [MetroPCS] [MOD] [Beta] SdCard Memory Hack

I flash both mod raw img with flashify if that helps any, but only boot.img stuck not recovery
And... for recovery to stick I used adb to flash recovery

Follow the unbrick guide, or use the LGSupport Tool to recover your stock system, then check back later on tonight, or tomorrow.

Pressy4Pie has my vote for Developer status, without question!!! Dude was patient enough to walk a couple of us through a manual install of this mod. Now that is all seems good it's just taking some time to insure it stays & really is as good as it seems.

Hopefully that link comes out right (posting on phone)
Easiest way is using the "Minimal ADB and fastboot" to open a command prompt for us Windows users, followed by a bunch of ADB commands I don't remember, but will find out all I can. I believe I have a log at home, I'll have to search through it to find everything that needs to be entered then verify that, so I'll see how things stand when I'm home and wake up tomorrow (currently 30+ hours awake, so home = sleep)

So far the mod appears to be a solid fix. I've installed 2x as many apps than I had on my "Motion 4G" the ones that I've run have been fine, there are a couple of things that I need to get verified, but I believe it was a bad/missed command on my end, a certain app crashes, when trying to reboot, need to check a few little things that may be kernel related, nothing noticeable under normal use. Once I get my notes, questions and all my possible use issues together, I'll catch up to Pressy4pie 2 confirm. I'll do my best to help out once I know I'm stable.

So you guys got it working with the I firmware? Is a manual install via ADB vs flashing some zip file in recovery?

Does the phone seem to be slower since it's running apps off a sd card vs emmc memory?

You might have to wait for Pressy4pie to release his updated App.
Just woke up, but no, the apps run fine, though at first the touch response felt a bit lagging, but it might have just been the system loading because since then it's fine. Battery life does seem to be a lil shorter after switching from GameTheory's kernel, but I can't confirm because I was downloading and doing so much testing, I have to see how it does with normal use.

makes two of us.

This mod is not working for me... do not know why
This time:
- flashed "MS50010e_03.kdz"
- rooted (safe root)
- F6Utilities_v1.2.apk
- factory reset
- flash "pressy4pie-Recovery-SDHACK.zip"
- flash "pressy4pie-Boot-SDHACK.zip"
- factory reset again
- reboot

I got lockifing error like in firmware "i", so toggled locky support (disable) to flash "pressy4pie-Recovery-SDHACK.zip" and "pressy4pie-Boot-SDHACK.zip"

What I did wrong ?

I don't think its anything you did. I believe it has to do with the specific configuration this mod was setup to work with. I was in your position until he walked some of us through a manual install last night. I'm waiting to hear back from him on a few things, before I can be much more help.
If I were you, I would just go back to the I firmware rooted with Pressy4pie's kernel and as soon as he resurfaces, either a). He'll have the finished Mod, or b). He'll respond to the PM I sent him, and I'll post up how those of us that had problems can fix the problem. He's logged on IRC right now, I'm waiting for a reply, hell, any reply. lol

I am flashing "i" firmware right now, then reroot, restore and wait.
update:
Everything restored perfect: i firmware, freedom kernel, App2External_SD, link2sd,... exactly like before.

Ok, from where you are now, try to save as much of your data manually and get rid of all the App2External_SD, Link2SD, and all those previous fixes. You should also flash Pressy's kernel (not sure if freedom is totally out of the question), but when I got it working last night I had been using freedom, but I flashed this to be safe, and I'm good to go now.

I already have primary FAT32 & primary EXT4, then should I do this?:
- firmware i (MS50010i_00.kdz)
- factory reset
- root (safe root)
- F6Utilities_v1.2.apk
- pressy4pie kernel (PressY4Pie-Kernel-Installer.zip)
- reboot
- pressy4pie-Recovery-SDHACK.zip
- reboot
- pressy4pie-Boot-SDHACK.zip
- reboot & enjoy

is that correct?

Sorry... I had pressy4pie on IRC last night and also sent him a detailed PM, basically, asking him if I just shared the adb commands we did a few nights ago and linked his app if it would solve the problem I know a lot are having, pressy says get everyone on" e", it's due to being on the "i" version(?), which would be a standard configuration for people starting out now. Which has me puzzled since "i" worked out Ok manually. Since I haven't taken enough time to learn the adb commands, or android programming (I'm just starting to try Linux after years of win/dos), yet that procedure worked for me and at least one other while on "i". There is an app, but it still needs finishing. I asked if it was ok to share everything, but he said the app isn't ready for release, not to post it, and a lot of the adb commands weren't necessary, (testing) just to wait until tonight... so, from what he's saying is for everyone to rollback to "e" firmware. If you can find the right one (T-Mobile or Metro?) to rollback to "e", I'm not positive if these steps will work without further steps. Unfortunately, I need to get outside and replace a transmission mount I've been putting off. As soon as I finish & clean up, I'll work on my phone, undo the mod, see if I can find an "e" version that works. I did try flashing an "e" early on, when this thread started, thinking it might be the problem from other posts. I couldn't get it working, but given the difference in what I've learned since (I've brought this phone back from so many degrees of being bricked, just trying to get this). I will try to find "e" from both carriers & I'll test again. I need this mod for how many apps I use & the amount of data I keep with me, but OC & my battery life seem "different" than on other kernel(may flash to test). I know how it feels to need a mod, but since one person can't be here 24/7 to answer & help us all on the occasions when we screw up. I was just trying to help out, but when working with other people's programming, my participation and questioning on details, seems to come across as suspicious, so... I'll just report my results later when I finish and I've tried everything I can think to try. If anyone can PM me links to both carriers "e" SW that's verified in tact & working I'd appreciate it. Sorry I couldn't really do more, if I can't get my tests to work later, this SDmod is totally in pressy's hands to fix. If I do manage to find a procedure that works out before pressy finishes polishing & posts his app, I'll edit this post to reflect the steps I took as a last try. Good luck to all.

So are there different e firmwares? Are the only people who have e firmware are the one's who had it originally? Is there a way they can dump the e firmware from their phone?

its not just the I or E firmware specifically, but the aboot image. back when bliss gave us loki support, he did it on the E aboot. so you dont need to be on E firmware (im not) but you need to have the E boot loader

Hey Guys if you can't get this mod to work their also another mod that works with this without factory reset nor partion your SD CARD here is the link
