Root [MetroPCS] [MOD] [Beta] SdCard Memory Hack

Sweet.

I am using firmware i.

1. downloaded Aparted.
2. created my two partitions on a 32GB SD card fat32 (11.28 GB) and ext3 (5.77 GB). NOTE: the numbers were not that important to me so I just finger-scrolled the sizes you see. Aparted allows you to manually enter the numbers.
3. downloaded F6 utility.
4. uninstalled the old.
5. followed the options for the utility and now have the space I need.

Two things.

One, Metro wants me to update my phone. Will that effectively remove everything I've done and cause problems? Just ignore it for now?

Two, I have a Wi-Fi Calling error icon " Error: REG09 "Missing 911 Address" Doesn't seem to affect the phone's functionality.

Any thoughts?
 
Yeah I've always got the WiFi calling error I don't quite understand it myself

Also the update is mainly firmware it doesn't factory reset but right now we are working on a stable root proccess

The "system update" is 39 MB. Could that be the F/W 14b everyone is talking about?

I was looking for an option to turn the notification off. Because it pops up at the most inopportune time, and I'm going to accidentally hit yes one of these days while texting.

The update is most likely a security thing to patch Heartbleed. If you install it you will forever be in recovery till you kdz restore.

I think that someone is putting it into a flashable zip so just sit tight. You can use an app called Disable Service or something like that to disable system updates notification
 
Excellent, best mod our F6s have right now.

I did this:
1- Flashed kdz of i firmware, pull battery and factory reset (vol down+power, then power twice).
2- Reboot, set "usb debugging" & "unknown sources" on, etc.
3- Safe root.
4- New F6 Utilities, "SD Card Data Hack", wait 1 min & reboot.
5- Install superuser.

Note: I tried this before and did exactly the same except in step 4 didn't reboot but turned power off and did not work.
 
the problem with this is it seems to be a test and not specified for phones.you could always try it but there is no guarantee this wouldnt fubar your phone if you have an f6 like us or it may do wonders.honestly though this sd card hack has made my f6 pretty fast and responsive.it is sluggish a bit on bootup but most phones are because thats the first initial read the phone does.

personally though the f6 usually isnt slow to begin with though,perhaps you need to factory reset
 
I have this running perfect on i firmware, no issues, very fast... using a 32GB class 10 sdcard, 4 GB to internal right now...

Can I turn off phone, then put sdcard in a card reader and change partitions size using MiniTool (without format to keep all data), then insert sdcard and turn on phone again ? will work this ?

I have a 32 go SD card I formatted 10gb to ext4 and 20gb to fat32 hope I made the right choice? Anyway I was successful in doing this but what if I remove my SD card? Thank you to who made the sdhack I owe you and the easy root Dev a lap dance at the strip club if your in Sacramento

I didn't know you worked at a strip club?
 
Anyone have this working with a 64GB microSDXC card? Would Aparted app be best way to format it? I don't think miniTool on Windows 7 will format fat32 on a 64GB card. I think it only formats exFAT.

I use 64GB card, and Mini Tool formatted it perfectly to both Fat32 and exfat4.
