I want to share with you that this mod works in our SGH-M19N. I'm using the "moderate" and the sound is no less than 30% lauder than stock. Flash with Recovery.

Viper4Android is also great. I think my S4 is loud enough but I use it on my Nexus 10. Until the update to 4.3 which it doesn't work with yet.

I'm using Viper4Android too in my Galaxy S4 and in my Galaxy Note 8. It's a wonderful app, a bit trikky but when you take your time the results are impressive.
