Root [MetroPCS] Rapidfire QUESTIONS and ANSWERS (because I'm slow)

I should know this stuff by now ... it's 2015 after all ... but alas, I do not.
Rather than take up too much advanced users' time here, I'll give a brief
background, then ask some quick questions, and go from there.

Background:

~ Optimus F6 (MetroPCS) is rooted and de-bloated
~ 1.41 GB internal free, 15 of 16 GB MicroSD free
~ I ran the LTE2 2nd Init Recovery several times ...
~ But when the phone restarted, nothing was different ?!v

Q: The LTE2 is a Recovery, not a ROM, right? What's the difference?

Q: I've tried "themes" similar to Harmonia, but they're no good. Where's the best place to find custom ROMs, here? They are phone model specific, right?

My question is - do I go to the MetroPCS forum, or is me and this thread already there?

ive always wanted to try dana but that one never loaded for me on my f6.i dunno if its because i have the us version or what it always failed on me though.xperion works great though.also the lt2 is a bootstrap its like a temporary recovery.recovery is used to wipe data and stuff create partitions and install things like custom roms.twrp is an actual recovery that writes on without having a special program and is more stable.a custom rom is the software that is put onto the phone,but its not official software,it was made by developers in an attempt to improve features of the phone.hope that sums it up better for you ;) as viperdink said though nomatter what route you go make sure to thank developers and thank everyone that is giving you solid advice.we work for free to provide all this info for you.a lil appreciation does go a long way.good luck
