Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][F6] Xperion ROM **Updated 2/11/2015**

Is anyone else having trouble installing apk files. everything complains about insufficient storage when I have nearly 1GB free on internal storage, as well as almost 8GB free on the SD card.

For some reason, hangouts also keeps crashing.

in twrp, the factory reset seems to give an error.

I'm not sure how you have ~1gb of internal storage free as the F6 has 1.27gb of internal storage. Go to Settings > Storage, scroll down to "Internal Storage" and look at the "Available" field. If it says you have 1gb available again, I'm not sure how that's possible, but I'd be interested if that's actually what you have.

Short of uninstalling apps, a good way to free up space is using SD Maid and the Pro unlocker. It has a "cleaning" function that is far and away better than every other app with a similar function. Let me know if you decide to do that and I'll detail the steps for thorough cleaning.

I had the same issue with Hangouts crashing after it updated from the Play Store. To resolve this, I installed an older version. This is the version you want. It is important to download that specific APK as it is compatible with the F6's hardware architecture and display.

You will probably have to use a system app uninstaller tool or Titanium Backup to uninstall the current version on your phone. After you install the older APK, Hangouts may crash again when you first try to start it. You can get around this by going to your Contacts, tap a contact, tap the Message icon and choose Hangouts from the Choose App dialog box. You may receive a message that you need to open Hangouts and enable messaging. Launch Hangouts as you normally would and it should load. I'm not sure why this happen but I've used the method I've outlined countless times and it always works.
