Thanks for the reply. I'll just keep it throttled down (or fix my car's a/c) your rom/kernel are too good to uninstall. Thanks again.

I am wondering what page the lastest update is on. You uploaded it a month or so ago. Is it any improved from the 2-11 update or some sort of change log? Basically, is the February update better than the last one? I'm wanting to switch back to this ROM than the one I'm on. Is there a gapps to download also?
A little off topic, are you deving on any other newer metro phone?
Edit: NVM it is the kernal I'm talking about I believe.
the sd card hack has evolved quite a bit probably since you last used it. There's several different files to use. Carbon ROM and xperion rom are now stable, truly depends on your preference which rom you want to use. The sd hack works perfectly on both. carbon rom only has vibration disabled. Since carbon ROM has proper init.d support now along with this rom, the only files you need are the initd installer of the sd hack, f2fs ondemand (for repairing the sd partition when needed without having to use a terminal emulator) wipe dalvik cache file (wipes the dalvik cache on the sd partition without wiping the whole sd card) and a neat little zip file that lets you change the size of the sd card ext4 and fat32 partitions to anything you want, even after you've installed the hack. You're going to have to look up how to use this file though on the official sd card hack thread.Accidentally posted in the T-Mobile thread at first...
I have recently had a major issue, and I've decided to basically start from scratch. It's been a long while since I've done anything with android. So I haven't really been aware of many changes since like march. After plenty of experimenting I had installed you most up to date xperion rom, and freedom kernel. I didn't go through the process to set-up my sd card (using the sd hack) as the internal storage, tho I set it up a few time to see if I could do it properly. Anyway I did use something to be able to transfer apps (only some) to the sd card-- I think it was a file GT created called GT_SD_Tweak. It was a zip file. Now I can't find any mention of this on the forum (or great web at all...) but I do still see plenty about the more advanced sd hack and I see you have a small guide to setting up Link2SD on GT's androidcreations site.
I was fine with the tweak only allowing some apps to be moved, but as I don't see this mentioned, should I assume Link2SD or the sd hack or the better way to go now? I had used the hack, and I can understand why that is better in some ways, but I don't like to use it. Previously Link2SD either didn't work, didn't work right, or I another reason I can't remember atm, but as I said I used the GT_SDTweak file. Anyone have input as to why this file isn't used or why Link2SD is better?
I might have tried both by the time there is a reply, but I would love input from a more advanced user with experience, and/or GT especially.
Oh, almost forgot to mention, since starting over I've decided once again to use xperion.
which ROM are you running? stock, other?Does anyone have an issue where their F6 after turning on, within the first 10 minutes or less of being powered on, will sporadically decide to turn off? Like I'm holding the power button, but Im not. Tried clicking home, power, volume, etc, but it will without fail turn off. Now, this only happens occasionally, sometimes the phone boots fine, but sometimes, this happens and it leads to a boot loop more often than not. Any suggestions?
ahhhh looks like xperion ROM. Uh I use to run that ROM on the F6 myself but never ran into that particular issue let me check around a bit for ya bro.[emoji41]which ROM are you running? stock, other?
I'd wipe and reflash if I were you serif that helps.Does anyone have an issue where their F6 after turning on, within the first 10 minutes or less of being powered on, will sporadically decide to turn off? Yeah, deffinetly make sure you're wiping you're internal system and not you're ext sd!Do a full wipe. Leave your sd card alone though. That is where you need the ROM at for installing. I never had any problem. Just don't remove Nova app and you be fine.
Hmmmmmm, odd I've ran Xperion when I had my F6 & didn't have these two issues you speak of myself. I would try a full wipe (System, Data, Delvick and reg cashe) reboot from recovery to recovery) especially if you are coming from stock ROM. If you haven't already done any of this already that is. [emoji6]Hello and thank you to GameTheory for... well, EVERYTHING. You've saved my phone.
Question for anyone who's available:
I have two persistent problems with this ROM. The time zone simply says the wrong time (PST) no matter which one I choose. It also changes after a few hours even though the settings still say my correct time zone. I've tried setting a fake time zone to match my time but that time changes again after a few hours. I've set the correct time zone in Recovery (TWRP) several times. The only thing I can do, it seems, is manually set the time and check it every once in a while. Seconds will be off though and may cause problems in the future. Help?
I have reset the device twice after clearing dalvik etc. etc in Recovery. No use for both problems.
I will ask my second question below to keep things separate....
Oh! if you don't already know when one wipes from in recovery and reboots from recovery back into recovery its going to ask you if you want to root your phone, Don't. just hit the swipe button again which is going to reboot you back into recovery for a fresh start. Newer TWRP versions such as 3.0.0.-1 don't ask you if you want to root. I'm not sure if what TWRP version you're on as far as if there's been any TWRP built updates for the F6. I hope this info helps [emoji16]Hmmmmmm, odd I've ran Xperion when I had my F6 & didn't have these two issues you speak of myself.
