Root [MetroPCS & T-Mobile] New Full v10J ROM Flashable *Updated 9/26/2015*

I'm thinking of buying this phone(metropcs ) and installing a custom ROM is there any way to get Wi-Fi tethering for free.

I flashed in twrp recovery. Now am bootlooping and can't get phone to go to download mode to even flash the kdz. Please help!

Jus hold vol- &power until u feel vib or see lg logo... Let go 1sec n press again vol- until you see menu just hit yes yes yes up to recovery... Then do whatever u need to do... Either flash what ever zip or go back to your backup. If you had one...

Remenber always to wipe cache/dalvik
 
Can I extreact the boot.img file from this zip, create a new zip that only contains the boot.img and flash that over cm? What I am trying to do is but the stock kernel on cm. Will that work?

That will only cause more problems and will almost certainly cause a bootloop. With that said, if you still want to try it, you don't need to make a zip or install any app to flash it. Twrp 2.8.5.0 and newer allow you to flash boot and recovery images directly. You can just extract the boot.img, reboot to twrp, tap install, then you'll see a place where it says install zip. Tap there and it will toggle to image flashing mode then you just flash the boot.IMG the same way you would a zip file.
 
Im probably posting this on the wrong thread but can some one give me the link to the page where i can find how to root my lg stylo 5.1.1 for metro or can i just root it with kingroot?

Since I don't have a PC, I used KingRoot initially to get root and installed TWRP recovery with Flashify. Then I purchased Super-Sume Pro to get rid of KingRoot and replaced it with the more stable and less bloated SuperSU.

Okay thanks i will try that i just wasnt sure if you were able to root it with kingroot since i also dont have a pc but thanks for the help
 
Now that v10L is out, is there a way to make a flashable update? I'm trying to learn how to and it is way over my head. Thanks in advance!
 
Hi...
I don`t see LGQuickMemo in the flashable zips. I`ve tried the one thats been ripped from the G4. It installed ok but doesn`t run.. There`s no quickmemo in this rom and my stylus is pointless otherwise..
