Root [MetroPCS & T-Mobile] [ROM] [F3] Xperion ROM *Updated 2/13/2015*

What did you find? I'm using the rom and everything is smooth for me.

1) In the settings menu, when going to any of the settings and then going back to the main page, the color gets messed up a bit going from black to gray (minor bug).

2) Some random force closing which is always annoying. I managed to fix it though by reinstalling the apps.
3) There is a small lag when pressing the power button for screen off
4) I think GameTheory said he removed the crt animation, but occasionally I see the crt animation and it does not have the lag, but it only appears some of the time.
5) And wifi-calling doesn't work with an error message about sim not being metro pcs, I have t-mobile btw.

I'm sorry if these are just nitpicking cause I'm not not complaining. This rom is awesome, great job GameTheory, but I just wanted to let you know about these problems I've had.

You could just remove the Metro WiFi calling app and replace it with the T-Mo version...

Right I forgot metro uses an app. T-mobile doesn't use an app, its just built in their rom. I don't really care about wifi calling though, I live in nyc, there's always coverage lol :D

I haven't tested it, honestly. I have unlimited calling with my plan from T-Mobile, so WiFi calling isn't useful anyway. I can, however, verify that on my P659 Xperion runs smoothly using Freedom kernel clocked at 1404/384, superbad, cfq. I tried the msm-dcvs governor while testing and discovered that it's a very bad combination. Turns the F3 into a Lag-O-Matic. I have plenty of space for my apps without having to futz about with Link2SD, which is awesome.

Yeah there all minor bugs that I don't care about, but just wanted to let everyone know about. I'm gonna try freedom kernel overclock and see if it speeds up the screen off animation

Nice, but what are you using for transparent status bar? I use gravity box and tinted status bar for the gradient effect. And also I've found freedom overclock reduces some of the lag when screen off

Using GravityBox for the status bar transparency. There really isn't any lag using the superbad governor, that was just with the msm-dcvs governor.

Isn't superbad bad for the battery? (no pun intended :D) GameTheory says Interactive is best for normal usage and from the testing I've done, I say interactive is the best in terms of speed and battery. Btw lol I just noticed that the SlimLite thread has more views than Xperion Rom.

If you want a good balance of performance and battery then interactive or intellidemand would be best. If you just want performance then superbad, smartassv2, or performance govs would be best.

Also overclocking only when needed instead of at all times is best if you're concerned about saving battery.

The conservative gov is only focused on battery so your phone will lag with that gov since it keeps the clock speeds low.

SlimLite should have more thread views since it was posted over a week before Xperion.

In the interests of accuracy, I AM a speed freak who will gladly sacrifice battery life for the joy of making fun of my brother's $600 iPhone. Also, smartassv2 was my go-to governor on my old OV. Old habits die hard.

Is this rom deodexed if not please please do it

Lol deodexing is pointless to the end user. The only real benefit to deodexing is for developers to be able to edit smali code. In other words, devs deodex the roms to make it easier for themselves to modify the apks.

I installed the Freedom Kernel and the SetCPU app, but no matter what I select, the governor stays at interactive. Something about permissions?

I believe you're doing something wrong. The other guys are able to change governors if you read their posts. Maybe they can chime in and confirm.

Make sure you're giving SetCPU root access.

Yep, I must be doing something wrong *sigh*...SetCPU has root access.

Every time I try to change the governor, I get a pop-up that says: "SetCPU Free has been granted superuser permissions for an interactive shell"

Did you buy the SetCPU I gave you the link for or are you using the "SetCPU Free" which is a very crappy app with lots of bad reviews and low rating?

Try any free cpu app you want, just make sure it's a good one. The issue is definitely not with the kernel, That I'm very sure of.
