I did. The hotspot isn't even coming up to be recognized. I'm using Viperdinks KitKat MINI ROM. The USB tethering works fine when using PDAnet but the Wifi hotspot isn't showing any kind of life. :(

OP instructions are for stock only... I think i provided a way for KK.mini
 
Question was working gteat then i was using ny computer and now the metro pcs windows keeps popping up and i cant kill hostpad it kills then pops right back up
 
I tried doing so even retarted phone etc...When i try to kill hostpad it just pops right back up then i get the metro pop up saying you have used your hotspot for the mobth renew i was paying for it should i cancel my monthly?

Make sure that the X @ the right hand is unchecked (grey not red).... And are you on stock ROM?
 
Mines was working fine. Now for some reason hostapd its grey n can't be killed any help?

*Download IEUA9.reg.
*right click- run start IE. .. n there u go. If u update IExplorer u may have to run registry again.

Please follow as directed so u don't have to post negative things. Don't be a downer.


**Instructions.**
1-Delete all those wigets and tethering apps u have already installed.
2-Go to Root Explorer or whichever manager u hav.
**Go to System/bin/hostapd
**open permission check all + Set UID /GID / Sticky
3-Install Android Tuner.
4-Install wifi-tether. DO NOT START
5-Restart Ur F6
SETTINGS wifi-tether "
*Device-Prof... Generic ICS/JB (WLAN0)
*Setup-Method ..Netd-Ndc(MASTER)
*Send Netd Max Client Cmd.. (Checked)
*Enable Wifi-Encryption.. leave unchecked NOT WORKING FOR NOW
*Change SSID.. (your favorite)
*WIFi-dirver Reload2..(checked)
*Enable Access-Crontrol... (Checked)
*Change LAN...Select =192.168.2.0/24
*MSS clamping...(checked)----RUN WIFI-TETHER---
**SETTING ANDROID TUNER
Open A.T TASK find System/bin/Hostapd click on it and KILL

It should b grey.... After u kill it.. Then connect it should b fine... Giv it a sec. It will but only this should work if u are in stock rom
 
I'm on xperion was working all day yesterday, I turn it of when I went to sleep got up n try it. Now it connects but do internet...any other will be great full

Ok do this. Before connecting it go data in notification bar turn it of for couple of sec.. Turn it back on then try to run the tethering. If not do the same with airplane mode if not to settings tethering/network click on network go to search network scan... Do not do the automatically one if not go to dial put *#*#4636#*#* go to ph settings kill radio off then on .... Go down hit refresh n then update then refresh then run tethering
Make sure u hav the LTE icon on
 
Didn't work :( man I'm during to tether. There there plan sucks I had it n tooknit off...I should of never turn it off lol
 
Quick question. I just nothing my hostapd file looks like an open folder should not be like that? It wasn't like that when I got to tether

Go to settings ... apps... Look for wifi.tether... Clear cache n restart. Then run

OK I forgot I have wifitetherrouter now is taking me to the metro PCs...can't seen to make it work no more on WiFi tether.
