Root MidnightRom: CM10.1 (4/6/2013) Version 1.05

Mine rebooted sometime this morning and would never turn back on. I tried multiple times, and tried clearing the cache didn't work. I had to wipe everything and re-flash.
 
This ROM finally convinced me to switch over from MNR 1.5.4, and i'm glad I did! Enjoying everything about JB on this phone. Has anyone else used any different kernels? Kernel Tuner is acting up on me, sometimes my settings won't stick. Flashed the 10.1 MMS fix to clear that up and i've only experienced one random reboot earlier this morning (pretty sure that was my own fault). Just wanted to stop in and say thanks to xTheDakManx for all his hard work!

go into the settings of kernel tuner (top right button on main screen) and go to application settings. Change Restore Settings after reboot from 'on boot completed' to 'init.d' script and restart. that should fix it.
 
So wanted to compare this to cyanogen 10.1, some posts from other members say don't care for cyanogen 10.1 and like Midnight Rom better. Don't care about the 3d camera. But video camera tears something awful. Any thoughts??


Broke my volume down button, and got new Evo V coming when gets restocked at local Radio Shack.

Isn't this ROM based on dastin's WFTN CM 10.1? Read the first two lines of the OP.

Or were you talking about G60's CM 10.1 ROM?

My problem is more along the lines of only being able to control one core, and when i'm actually able to adjust the 2nd core the settings won't stick at all. Also experiencing atrocious amounts of lag when waking the device from deep sleep, I turned up min cpu speed from 192 to 384 and it helps a bit, but there's still at least 5-10 seconds where the device just refuses to respond. Nothing deal breaking, just pointing out a few minor personal bugs i've run into.

Never ran into that issue myself, could be a bad flash? You can try flashing this first, (Dev-Host - CM10_1MMS with MmsFix+cache.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service) it's the MMS fix everyone is using on this ROM, fixed my MMS up right away, maybe it'll help with your SMS issues. Just make sure you clear cache and Dalvik before flashing.
 
since im not registering for another forum, id just like to say i also got the random bootloop that the guy on your forum had, i had to reinstall the rom, so it is a recurring issue, i dont have a logcat due to having to do a complete wipe, but just something you should look into(also this was after running it stable for 3 or so days)
 
For some reason I can't receive any sms...I can send just fine. I tried reflashing and then the new version came out and I flashed it... Same problem. I'm soff with the 1.04 hboot. Must be something I'm doing since nobody else is reporting the problem
 
Very Nice Rom, Going to use this everyday, but 1 think, can anyone make a flash able zip, with the carrier change on the lock screen and the note.bar.. I would love it to say Sprint™.

I really like Dastin's CM10.1 build on my phone, except that it feels sluggish. How does this ROM compare to Dastin's in terms of perceived speed?
 
Sorry for my absence as of lately. Work has basically taken over my life.

Since I absolutely have NO money to cover my site (sadly) it's down for now, so I've posted links back up in the op ^_^

So I just migrated from harmonia to try this Rom and it sounds really cool. Unfortunately when switching over to midnight I lost my signal and noticed it had changed my phone number to a different number. Any idea why this happens or how to fix It? In the meantime i have flashed back to harmonia.
