Root MidnightRom: Jellybean [MOVED]

ok guys I did some digging and MAC Kernel is broken... rather than flash MAC just install Anthrax works like a Charm!!! the ROM is SMOOTH!!!!! but MAC don't work saddly.'


btw Thank you for this amazing rom can't wait for the bugs and kernel to be fixed other than that beautiful job as always Midnight is amazing.

-System file changes to improve stability
-Integrated AC!D Audio system
-SystemUI Changes
-Fixed build number display
-Removed Entropy Seeder
-Changed battery to look more like stock JellyBean
-Integrated theme chooser as requested
-Bunch of other stuff I can't remember >.<

exactly what version of anthrax did you flash?

If i can make a request? Allow for the settings option to change around the clock position and all that good stuff. I'm one of those weird people that likes my clock in the middle of the status bar :p
 
When u put out another update for this ROM will goo manager update this ROM or do we manually download the updated rom?

I'm actually using the Anthrax used in the Team Venom rom for the Venom 3D sense 4.0 rom. works like a charm!

I'm looking at it now its called "anthrax_universal_rls3.6.7.zip"

just flash that and everything should work 100% idk about MAC kernel but Anthrax never game me a prob curious why midnight is using mac rather than Anthrax this time around?

I'm gonna find a more stable MAC kernel if possible see if I can make one of those work. FYI idk if it does this with MAC Kernel but Gallery Force Closes. so Camera is broken can't take pics or video period. just wanna throw that out there.

Flashed this ROM last night and... wow. Easily the quickest and smoothest jelly bean ROM of the 7 or so jb ROMs I've had on this phone. It doesn't have some of the settings I like that other ROMs do, but it was only released yesterday. I have no doubt that updates will roll out adding different functions and settings. Great work man, it is greatly appreciated.

So far everything is working fine for me. MMS goes through without any extra work, 3g is good, as is WiFi. Haven't noticed any major problems yet.

Add google gmail app. That is trying to look at an email crashes the app. Also app does alert that there is new mail, or bother to check. Seems fully broken.
 
w00t! New update with theme chooser :3 makes me happy!

Gonna download it at some point today and flash it :O

I think the only thing I want to see is some sort of ROM Control, just for tweaking other things...which I might try to figure out later...but that's not really a ROM issue xD

So while using the ROM, I really didn't notice too much...I got one SystemUI forceclose, but that was it.

SPOILER ALERT! 3D Doesn't work :cool:

Other than that? Solid ROM.

haven't had a chance to try this yet. I am traveling this week and dont want to mess with it.

Does this not have the advanced slim settings (A.S.S.)? The link you had put up for the beta looked like it was based on slim bean. Was there a need to remove A.S.S. , DakMan, to get your stuff to work? I have to say, I really like A.S.S. :D
 
Quickly question if I'm on baseband 0.97 that's the most updated one is it? I went to settings and checked it out and it said 0.97
 
I found two issues one of them reported, when opening gmail and reading an email, it closes automatically.
Stock web-browser you can open it but if you search for something and using the links that appear it closes as well.

Firefox web-browser video is choppy. Netflix works which most of the JB roms does not.

You might want to try gmail and the browser with the slim gapps I linked in my previous post if you haven't already.
