Root MidnightRom: Jellybean [MOVED]

I'm using the AIO SlimApps.

As far as folks doing a dirty flash, you still need to flash gapps, as the ROM formats everything, as seen here:

So you will need to reflash the gapps ;)

I used those as well. Is the touch screen update the whyzor one from the cm10 thread?
 
I was in version 1.0 and dirty flashed 1.1
Problems I had with 1.0 was that web browser and Gmail both closed unexpectedly.
1.1 seems to have fixed it. Havent had any of the mentioned issues above, like no sound effect(SMS/MMS) when playing music.

Camera works good, but when i switch it to front facing camera, it takes a while to switch, and pictures are very sluggish and choppy.

All in all, very good ROM, battery life is insanely good, which is a major issue with me! :P
 
Use a file explorer with root access (I use ES. Its free, and it works.) and manually edit the build.prop

Navigate to /system and find it. There you will see a line saying

Code: 
ro.sf.lcd_density=240

Change that number. Reboot. Enjoy.

THOUGH. one thing. Changing it CAN cause issues with the market...saying apps are not compatible...

So be warned ;)

(Though if you use the Slim AIO you SHOULD be fine...I am and have had no issues at all...)

I like the fact the keys are bolder with white. Any way to add the extra special keys, I got use to them

Yep, bluetooth is a no-go for me too. It connects to my car stereo but I can't get the sound to play through the connection. It plays through the phone speaker.
 
damm well doing a complete wipe and re flashing rom didn't fix the problem i was having with sound effects
 
Just saw on the tweeter that Sony is giving away a PlayStation mobile game free today, and the next five Wednesdays. Time to go back to this rom.

Verified, Bluetooth associates and connects but does not play audio to bluetooth device, but still remains associated. Tested with BT speakers and two applications both played out of the phones speaker not the BT one.
 
Is there anyway for you to add Trebuchet as an option for default launcher i really don't like Nova launcher. Or point me in the direction to get it in there my self.

All you have to do is download the apk and push it to /system/apps using adb. That's how I got it on evervolv anyway.

Update: I downloaded and installed the latest version. This version has fixed all the issues I was having with webpages and those two apps from fc. This rom is perfect. I have always loved the swipe to wake feature on your previous roms. The settings were always in kernal tuner but I noticed in this version of kernal tuner under misc tweaks, there is no setting for sweep to wake. Is there any way you can bring that back into this rom. Other than that, this rom rocks. Thanks for the great job dakman that you do.
 
I'm having issues with the capacitive lights not turning off most of the time. I did disable them under the kernel tuner and it's not that big of a deal, just wanted to throw that out there.

Also for some reason I'm not receiving MMS unless I long click on it and click download attatchment and then view thru my viewer.

I'm LOVING this rom!! So far those are the only 2 problems I'm running into and they are very minor. Thanks daks!!!

Same Issue with the MMS not displaying. Had to do the same work-around. Fix this, and I donate. Not just internet points (you have gotten them all with the other roms).

Not sure, because I dont haven't flashed the rom, but my wife flashed hers, and she noticed that AC!D and DSPmanager are on the phone. I think it came from flashing slim gapps. When reading about AC!D, it said that DSPmanager should be disabled and that they may not work well together.

ACID Audio Technology

the instructions say to rename the dspmanager.apk in the system/app folder to dspmanager.txt and reboot. If you dont have dspmanager then nevermind.
