Root MidnightRom: Jellybean [MOVED]

I just installed version 1.0.6. After rebooting, it said nova launcher is not responding. I clicked ok to close and when it came back up, I clicked on alarm and it said the same thing (alarm has stopped, and kicked me out of the app). So I went into settings, apps, clock, then it said computing ( I was gonna clear the data) when all of a sudden it just rebooted, not it appears to be caught in a boot loop. I just had to take the battery out to reboot again. It seems like going to this version has made matters worse. Anyone have any suggestions, please help!!!

Re-Download Gapps and Rom again. Wipe everything and reflash.
It might have been a bad download.

After I took the battery out and it rebooted properly, I went back into settings, apps, clock and cleared data and that app appears to be working properly. My 4ext app is still having the same issues though, when I click on backup, new, it says that 4ext has stopped and kicked me out of the app, anyone have any ideas???

I'm getting an error whenever I try to download apps from the play store. I wiped everything including data (coming from another ROM) and installed the gapps linked in the first post as well. Everything else seems to work though...

Hum...I've been reading this comments and its very strange that some phones are with this little issues... kind puzzle me! I have zero problems, I just updated the ROM,"dirty flash" follow by the ROM, and gapps from the OP, it might have something to do with recovery.. maybe..
Info:
Recovery: TWRP 2.3..
HBoot: 1.50
:D

I was kinda thinking it might be the recovery too. I use 4ext and I just updated to the current version and its doing the same thing, kicking me out of the app?? I'm out of of ideas??

Did you figure out what it was causing the MMS failures?

It might seem weird, but the way I have resolved the issue is by flashing a sense rom, where everything works.
After that wipe everything, and flash back to Midnight JB, and everything should work normal.

I don't really know the cause of the MMS failure as all the settings are correct, but that's how I have made them work before. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the subject can find the reason why that happens and maybe give us an easier walk around or fix. :)

Hey, yeah i figured it out. FYI I'm on 1.04, about to flash 1.06 in about an hour so I'll let you know if the fix holds. It turns out that the MMS requires an online data connection, regardless of wi-fi connection status. The reason my MMS's were not going through was because whenever I turned on wi-fi, I manually turned off data to save power. After turning the data back on and rebooting the phone I found that all the MMS's were being successfully delivered, although it still takes a long time to send (around 20 minutes for a 1MB picture), although it still beats having to wait seven hours or more :P

which recovery are you using? I have 4EXT and have no issues like that.

love the new ROM! I've been waiting for a JB version for a long time. Good work! I love so many of the features and tweaks, but I keep switching back and forth between this and midnight sense because I find myself needing the calendar and exchange mail that sense offers. Is there a way we could make a JB + sense version of midnight? That would be the absolute best.

Ah I see. I'm glad you figured it out.

In my case I couldn't send or receive msm or mms, and thats the only way it worked out for me.

►Another issue I came across was that my Internal Storage was being filled by itself.
I unistalled many applications that I thought were causing the issue, but it would'nt stop being filled, making every app unresponsive (as not enough memory to run them) until not leaving other alernative but to fully wiped and reflashed. ^.^

Rom looks great, but I can't get it to stop telling me I have a voicemail. G60's CM10 and Dastin's CM 10.1 don't see this phantom voicemail, so not sure why Dakman's does.

Can anyone confirm if custom dpi works? I have mine set on 200 on v1 (with build.prop edit) and it makes the screen resolution look larger much bigger and things are still crisp.

But I can't get it to work on the last few versions (I haven't tried the latest, I'm hoping someone can).

ROM control > General UI > LCD Density > Custom (last option).

Thanks!

That's probably the wimax 4g logs in /data/wimax/log filling storage. Flash this zip file in recovery and it will delete and recreate that directory and then mark it immutable so no more logs are created.

It needs to be flashed whenever the data partition is formatted.

Thank you very much, ramjet73! It was literally driving me nuts to see all the internal 1GB eaten without me doing anything....

I will be sure to flash what you recommend if it reoccurs. :)

Ramjet, I've had to flash your file regardless of who's JB rom I've used. Now I flash it automatically like Gapps. You've saved my bacon when I was totally lost. THANKYOU.:D

Re-Download Gapps and Rom again. Wipe everything and reflash.
It might have been a bad download.

Before I did a full wipe, my phone was randomly rebooting, then when it did reboot, it would get caught in a bootloop. I would do a battery pull and get a bootloop again. I did this about five times before it would actually get to my homescreen, then my home screen would freeze and say nova launcher is not responding.
I downloaded the latest version of the rom and gapps on my pc this time instead of my phone. I have since done a full wipe, wiped caches and I just had my first reboot and again it says nova launcher stopped responding, also, I am having the same problem where when I get into 4ext and click on backup, new, it says 4ext has stopped and kicks me out of the app. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP?? I am pulling my hair out. This is the third time I have done a full wipe in the last three days. Please help!!!!

My recommendation might not be the best, but what I would suggest is to go back and flash a ROM that has worked for you in the past, and see if you find any issues with it, if everything works, then come back to this one again to test if everything works.

Sometimes that does the magic trick. ;)
