Root MidnightRom: Jellybean [MOVED]

I'm loving this ROM! I had some random crashes and reboots early on, but after installing 1.0.6 and upgrading HBOOT from 1.04 to 1.50 (not sure if that makes a difference?) it's been rock solid so far.

The only issue I've noticed is an MMS glitch. For some reason, when iPhone users text multiple people at once, it's sent as MMS even if it's just plain text. It used to work fine with the JB MidnightROM, but now I see this:

I can get normal MMS photo attachments just fine; it's only a problem with the iPhone's weird behavior.
 
I'm still running 1.0.1 and besides the camcorder freeze I'm really not having any issues with this ROM. I don't see what all the fuss about full aokp is....I personally think the slim version is better. Thanks for the great work dakman.
 
At first I hated swagger, but after enabling it for awhile and getting a few laughs from my girlfriend I love it. Please don't remove it, I don't know how I can live without this new-found swag. #SWAG #YOLO
 
So what's up with the capacitive button backlight still being on when the screen is off? Any fix for this? I'm going to try wiping everything and reflashing as a last resort but dak might want to look into this.

Screw them! Ya it's an ok app, but dakman should dump them when something better come along.

So far, after redownloading the rom and gapps again and installing a majority of my apps, I am still having the issue with 4ext where if I try to back up and click on new, it says 4ext has stopped and boots me from the app. So far, I have not had any random reboots and when I purposely rebooted, it booted fine (did not get stuck in a bootloop).
On a different note, I have been backing up my apps through TB but is there a way to backup my settings, homepage preferences, and what not. To my knowledge, I've only been backing up my apps. If there is a way to back up settings and my homepage stuff, etc, can some point me in the right direction of how I would do that. That is usually the most time consuming for me is setting all that stuff up after a full wipe. Thanks

Update: This rom has only randomly rebooted just once and when it reboots, doesn't get stuck in a bootloop anymore. The issue with 4ext, after communicating for several hours and testing various versions of this app with the developer, he finally solved the problem with backing up and clicking on the new button and the app crashing. This problem is now resolved and he is pushing out a updated version of 4ext tomorrow. Just wanted to post this in case anyone else has a similar issue.

Still having this issue, does anyone else?

And also, I noticed on the newest 1.0.6 ROM, Face Unlock is no longer an option under security whereas it was on 1.0.4. Is this the same for everyone else?
 
Idk if somebody all ready asked this but Its to many pages to go through looking for it when I can just ask so have anybody used the tablet mode? I switched to tablet mode but there wasn't a status bar anymore and I couldn't change the LCD density in ROM control
 
Any one on here use the play station mobile app ? if so the games that you download from there how do you save them when u flash a new version of rom because i use titanium backup for the app and when i install the backup always says its not responding so i lost all my games :/
 
I know this might be a question that's asked too many times, but I'd appreciate the community's input with this specific ROM:

What CPU governor do you guys use in Kernel Tuner? I'm looking for a governor that is an offers the longest battery life while being more responsive than stock. After doing some reading online, I found that 'lagfree' or 'smartassv2' are some of the best governors out there that give a nice mix of battery and performance, however, I'd love to hear any of your views on this. FYI I've overclocked both CPUs to 1242Mhz. I tried 'Conservative' but the lag was a little more than I could bear so thats definitely a no-go.

I just started using intellidemand. My phone seems very smooth now. I'll report on battery life later today. I use my phone moderately, a little gaming, a little browsing, and a little texting. Expect a report around 4 or 5.
 
FYI installed a custom font via ROM Toolbox Pro and suffered a bootloop, would get home screen for 1-2 seconds then reboot. Wipe cache/dalvik + reinstall although replaced fonts it still looped. Full wipe to fix :(
 
Going out on a limb, hoping this doesn't get lost in the threads, but I'm hoping someone can guide me at least in the right direction.
When I flashed 1.0, I had facebook integration for my contacts, meaning i see their pictures and get their numbers and emails. Now, I'm on 1.0.6 and when I'm in messaging, I only see pictures I applied to them when they were synced to my Google account.

Have you tried logging out of the Facebook app, logging back in and re-syncing contacts? If that doesn't work, next step would be uninstalling, re-installing and re-syncing.
 
Bug found in clock ( MNR-J 106 with MNR-J-gapps from clean wipe )

Setup:
Go in to clock and wipe right to get to timers.
Set a timer and start it going, now every time you leave the clock "context" you will get this error:

Once timer is cleared there will be no more error. Error only occurs when leaving clock context, not going to clock context.

I still think that the Minutes in bold and Seconds in slim type looks ugly. But the clock app from JB 4.2 has really grown on me. Being able to set mutable timers is really REALLY useful for me since prep the main meals etc. So even thought the error message is annoying at best, it would be nice to have the app not error every time you check your timers.

Yes! I noticed that too, however the error doesn't cancel/reset, or close the Clock application, so it still works. :)

Dakman will for sure take a look at that in the near future, I hope. :)

It's a known issue. Download chomp sms and it will show the group txt
