Root Mikfroyo 4.4 rom download

From the OP:

"Please note that a full wipe is probably needed and is always recommended to ensure no issues."

You can take your changes and not wipe. I've done it for certain ROM updates before. I don't know exactly what all he changed, though, so... Take your chances, if you like, and if you run into problems, wipe data, and flash it again.

Thanks. I have been using Netarchy 4.3.1 so far with good results and wanted to reflash it if I decide to keep this ROM. Going to try it for a day or so and see how it is.

netarchy 4.3 CFS more havs for me, I get better battery life with 4.3 than I do 4.3.1 for whatever reason

Check the rooting for dummies thread....I think there is a link to all of the netarchy kernels. If I was on my other computer I would link you but that is probably the same link.

I am rocking the 4.3 HAVS/aggressive/CFS/SBC and it is working wonderfully!!!...on Azrael.....gonna check out Mik at some point soon. Nothing wrong with Azrael though!!!!

Flashing now. This 4.3 I have been using is super smooth and quick like. I have never seen before in any rom. A little worried about some behind the scenes errors showing up on logcat...hopefully those are fixed in 4.4

edit...the issues/errors I posted earlier are either being caused by logcat or pandora. ran some logs on the htc aria and got the same errors.

yay!!!!

flashed 4.4, currently messing with aps2sd

Hey all,

I just finished rooting my phone tonight. I flashed the ROM from the link above and am still playing around with it. So far, so good.

I do have one concern though. I can probably figure it out after a little bit of finagling with settings or searching, but my facebook contacts didn't load up fully. Some are either not in my contact log and some that are don't show the picture icon as they should. Any info on this? I noticed somewhere that it was said I may need to reflash a few times to get everything working properly, but figured I'd run it by the experts as well.

Thanks, and happy modding.

Before reflashing, try this - menu->settings->Accounts & sync. Make sure Facebook for HTC Sense is enabled. Tap on it either way. Make sure sync contacts is enabled. If it's not, check it. Even if it is, look at the date/time right below it. That's the last time in synced. Go ahead and press the "sync now" button. See if it syncs everything.

also don't forget to updating your profile after flashing the rom.

Thanks to everyone for the info.

I did remove and reinstall facebook on my phone, updated a few times through the app and facebook profile. All of the contact's images finally showed up, but I'm still missing about 200 or so friends in my contacts.

I'm debating on flashing a different ROM on to the phone just to try it out. Maybe this will also coincide with a complete contact update as well.

Probably not the best thread to ask, but better than starting a new one for something likely covered that I just haven't found yet. I've read that users can switch to different ROMs on the fly through ROM Manager. One would think that 'toggling' through ROMs would allow them to upload different ones sort of like settings. However, I've also read that flashing each now ROM will wipe the phone. Can I assume all settings I create in my existing ROM will not be present if I go back to it later? As in, they're not quite like just switching to different 'scenes' on the phone.

I apologize for the 'newbness' but I'm still doing research and learning what I can.

for some reason I had gmail and facebook sync issues as well. it took 3 wipe/reflashes for everything to fall in line and work correctly

This ROM is the best so far of any I've used. Fast. Really fast. And now that I've got the install order right (radio update FIRST then rom) the battery life is really good too. Really good. It makes it worth all the fiddling around with rooting and flashing when you don't know what the hell you're doing (all the while wondering if you haven't made a terrible mistake) to finally come across something like this. It's pretty damn impressive. Shout out to aamikam. Well done.

I can't seem to keep this rom stable for more than about 24 hours regardless of kernel. Going to have to switch back to warm or fresh. It is great but not at the expense ogmf having to wild and flash dailey
