Root Mikg screen off feature not working

I'm currently running mikg 2.57. The screen flash off feature doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions?

On 2.59 there is a spot to turn that off or on under settings/ display.
I cant remember if it was on 2.57

He/she is probably talking about the animation that makes it looks like an old CRT TV powering down when you turn off the screen. As previously mentioned it's just an option under Menu > Settings > Display.
