my phone is acting kinda crazy. i know it is user error but not sure how to fix it. it randomly goes into car mode. i am currently on v3.0 beta but it did it on 2.59-2.61 also. i went into root explorer and deleted the navigation app and google maps right after flashing and i think this might be the reason why it is doing this but not quite sure. in my attempt to fix went into recovery and wipe both cache and it help for about an hour or so but eventually starts doing it again. also the next problem is when making/receiving a call my phone goes straight to speaker and i believe it does this because it is car mode but not quite sure. this is quite annoying and i would like to fix it please help!

I am not too familiar with that rom, but I do remember hearing about this problem in the past. It seems like it was kinda random. I'd try a wipe of cache / data again, if that's a no go... I guess then you could try to re-flash the rom (after full wipe), but it sounds like you did that going between roms...?

I hate to recommend someone away from a rom they are comfortable with, but if that too doesn't work, then I suppose you could try a different rom. :/

Of course, someone else who knows more about this issue could easily come here with the solution.

Regardless of what you do, don't forget about nandriods.

This happened to a buddy of mine and I have seen posts on XDA about it. The bad news is, it's a likely sign of a hardware failure. There's a pin in your micro-usb port that is likely going bad and causing it to think that it's in car mode even though it's not. My buddy ended up taking in his evo to get it replaced because there's really no workaround. How long have you had your Evo? If you're within the first year, it shouldn't cost you any more than the standard service charge that Sprint charges. If they consider it a "known issue" then you might not have to pay anything. I can't remember if my buddy had to pay anything or not. But my first Evo had to be replaced due to it rebooting all the time, and since that was a "known issue" it didn't cost me a cent.

Good luck!

Yep Mizzou is right....I had this same problem about a month and a half ago. Its not a MikG problem it is a hardware problem.

I had to have the phone replaced

you know that kinda makes sense. i have been having some trouble transfering files over to my phone through usb cable. i have to put it in a card reader to transfer files sometimes. so i guess i will try and unroot get s-on and then take to get fixed.this was a replacement phone so it figures! :-(
