Root MildWild based on Oxygen

its easy. takes a bit of time to get it right.
theme choser in rom would be cool ;-)

battery defo better on dgb :-)

I predict that dGB will gain the Theme Chooser shortly after Hell freezes over/pigs learn to fly/Jamie Redknapp uses the word "literally" correctly, whichever happens last :D

Anyone else having some instability issues with v3.5? Had a few random reboots lately although I did flash _thalamus' new kernel - might revert back to the r3 one packaged with MW as a check.

I feel like I'm missing out as this rom seems to be quite popular! I may have a look on Sunday and sample it for a week. I assume it supports apps2sd+? If so I have to do the partitions again. Bah! Just too lazy lol.

If you use V3.5.5 then yes the A2SD works (I think it also moves the Dalvik Cache too)

It's a good ROM, though the Oxygen updates seem to be slowing down, i'm using 3.5.5 at the moment and whilst I really like the theme it does seem to be a little more of a battery hog compared to previous releases... then again that could be a placebo from reading too many comments over at xda, because I have never personally done any tests to confirm or deny it.

Worth a look though

If only it was more blue!
:P

dGB is boss though, if you want battery life then it's probably one of the only ROMs worth considering... or certainly the best

Quick question for anyone that has installed v3.7, have you lost the ability to "swipe to clear notifications"? I seem to of, and it makes me sad :( something so simple that I have come to use so regularly

EDIT: Updated first post

Yup - just installed 3.7, and unless I'm missing a setting somewhere, the swipe to clear is gone.
Didn't really like where the theming had gone with this version as well so switched to nicks rom which still has swipe to clear.
See 3.8 is just about to come out though so I wonder what that will bring!

Ah thank you! At least it wasn't just me :) I saw that 3.8 is due out soon, MildWild is like a London Bus haha

I've actually switched to an ICS ROM (for the first time) and whilst im only a couple of days in, im freaking loving it. The OS that Android have managed to develop is so sexy and smooth now, I find it to be a massive improvement in the looks department and so far it doesn't seem to be using much more battery than the Gingerbread ROMs I was using (not properly tested)

EDIT: Just as a quick example, phones been on battery for 1day 2 hours so far, light/moderate usage (objective), 43% battery left

Sandvold's ICS, a word of warning though video recording and the panoramic camera don't work. It stutters sometimes, like opening the app drawer but only for a brief second and then it's golden

I have never used the video recording on my phone, so that's not an issue for me :)

I just feel that I should give ICS a spin at some point, to see what it's like.

And how does "camera ics" from the market fare? It's an improved version and works well with GB. Hopefully it works on sandvold too

I've not tried it, but I could download/install and get back to you if you like?

Brief update, phones been basically idle since I posted earlier bar a couple of sent/received texts, 1day 9hours on battery, 34% remaining.

For how I use my phone, I can more than tolerate how this ICS ROM is performing, having a bit extra snappyness would be awesome, but I don't expect that from a Desire which is now... 2 years old? Everything else, is more than tolerable and I get the added bonus that it just looks super sexy.

I'm just thinking of you. It's the ics camera ported to 3rd party app, then improved and made multi platform. So with a little luck, you can use it instead of the broken built in one
